Stacy Lewis- the same person who said Royal Melbourne doesn't reward good shots. Ms. Pouty Face likes to blame everything else....except for HER OWN poor play.

Mike Davis and his USGA CLOWN colleagues JUST DON'T GET IT...the new rules solve NOTHING. They solved an issue like Anna Nordquist's where the 3 grains of sand moving could only be detected with extreme magnifying.

If So Yeon did give her a hug, I hope her friend Inbee, enlighten her. I hope she never, ever do it again. Not once have she gave So Yeon credit for winning. Nor agreed that she broke the rules, just let the sympathy tears flow.

Nor agreed that she broke the rules, just let the sympathy tears flow. "Let me start by congratulating So Yeon Ryu on her playoff victory yesterday at the ANA Inspiration. She fought extremely hard and played amazing golf. I don’t want anything that happened yesterday to take away from So Yeon's victory." http://instagram.com/p/BSbtm9egm0s

Word is So Yeon went up to Lexi and gave her a hug. It should have been the other way around. In her presser yesterday, Lexi should have said, "I want to say something. I've seen a lot of stuff on social media about how So Yeon Ryu didnt deserve to win, or she should have chipped into the water or not jumped into the pond when she won. I want everyone to know that So Yeon is my friend and she is a deserving champion, and if our roles were reversed I would have played just as hard for the win as she did. And every player on this tour would have done the same thing. So for anyone who is harboring any ill will toward So Yeon, my message is to knock it off." Unfortunately Lexi didn't even mention So Yeon, which leads people to draw their own conclusions. I can't agree with this enough. She did give So Yeon credit right after the tournament, but a word or two to the creeps who keep harassing Ryu telling them to desist would be very welcome.

Putt, last time you said you are getting new glasses. I guess they are still at the doctor's ?

Stacy Lewis- the same person who said Royal Melbourne doesn't reward good shots. Old scores to settle from down under ? Not arguing here, sometimes she definitely can use a pause button in her brain. But under what context did she say it? I mean for example , the 1999 Carnoustie was widely ridiculed as one big unplayable lie.

Internet trolls are by-products of this age. There is no need for any public figure to acknowledge or denounce them. Like I said, those people probably had no idea who Lexi Thompson is before this incidence. Just imagine if Taylor Swift had to apologize for her trolls. She might well cancel her tour dates and start the apologies every day the moment she gets out of bed.

I think that was the same week that Lydia performed her teenage magnum opus at Royal Melbourne according to portsea, who was there to watch it.

In the comments of this Lexi article someone has a pic of her doing the same thing at the Honda. You didn't hear this from me if anybody asks. www.lpga.com/news/2017-lexi-thompson-addresses-ruling-at-ana-inspirationIMO it's probably just more evidence that she's a habitual reckless ball marker than a habitual cheater. Who knows. I had to think a little about why I care about this at all. I'm not upset she used to mark her ball this way. She is good for women's golf in the states and I want to her have a fun career. It really was the fire the LPGA and rules officials came under for calling this penalty. If we're not going to call this then why even have rules at all? It just seems like such a no-brainer. 2 strokes for marking your ball "like" a cheater. And 2 more because you have to know you're doing it when you signed the card. You HAVE to know that.

You can't even argue that the two extra strokes for a bad scorecard is unintended; they CLEARLY changed the rules for this specific type of incident. The only reason it's a controversy is because a popular American lost. Lewis saying that Thompson won the trophy is such an obnoxious, uncalled for thing to say that I think Whan should fine her for it. I saw that photo from the Honda, too. I'm not sure what to make of it. Based on that pic, it doesn't seem as egregious as the ANA incident, but it does seem odd. I'd be interested to know if she did the same quick pick up and put down move she did at ANA.

Thanks for pointing out that comment...here's the pic: What are the odds that the LPGA will delete the post and/or pic? Brandel C. had a good comment on ball marking. He played with a guy who was "bad" at doing it, so he started standing two feet away when this player was marking his ball. The USGA says the players are supposed to police each other, and that's what every LPGA player should be doing.
