... Not the guys who produced last night's Oscar Show! Did anyone watch that? What a debacle. For those who don't know, Warren Beatty and an embalmed Faye Dunaway announced La La Land as the Best Picture winner after an awkward, confused pause. The entire film crew came up, gave their speeches, only to be told.... there was a mistake! The actual winner was Moonlight, and the confused "winners" had to unceremoniously slink off the stage. Meanwhile, the retraction messed up my seeming victory in my Oscar pool... Fortunately, I was able to escape with more of my dignity than the La La Land people did...

LOL You're starting to use fanofseri sarcasm. Just because you married a Korean and she still looks 21...doesn't mean you should start bashing white women for aging so poorly...you're starting to sound like that fool, The Smiling Buddha.

Holy crap, was Faye Dunaway a stunning lady when she was younger. I think she just went to the face doctor a few too many times. If she had just left well enough alone, she'd be a beautiful seventy-something now instead of whatever it is she ended up being.

Bonnie and Clyde stepped into another trap Sunday night. Worse, Bonnie was handed a live grenade by Clyde.

Bonnie and Clyde stepped into another trap Sunday night. Worse, Bonnie was handed a live grenade by Clyde. The good ole days...when parents did what parents did without concern. I remember watching Bonnie & Clyde at a drive-in when I was 6....I was kinda spooked watching the the final scene...ok....I was a p*ssy as a 6 yr old. I also remember seeing Sand Peebles when I was 5 with my mom. OK...OK...they also took us to see Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Sound of Music and The Jungle Book.

I've still never seen Bonnie and Clyde, even though it was on channel 38 like every third week when I was a kid. One of the few shocking gaps in my classic film resume. I did see Little Big Man, in which Faye has a small part, the original Thomas Crown Affair, and of course Network. Oh, and Mommy Dearest LOL.

Here is the 1968 Oscar for Best Actress. I think this one was highway robbery, personally. Bonnie and Mrs. Robinson are both iconic performances, while Kate Hepburn.... love her, but that was probably one of her all time least impressive roles. Heck, she wasn't even the best Hepburn nominated that year! Audrey was awesome in Wait Until Dark. Here is the award: This Oscar show is interesting because it was postponed three days due to the assassination of Martin Luther King. There was a definite changing of the guard vibe, with newcomers being pitted against the Golden Age stars in their last throes of success. Speaking of iconic, check out the group who were nominated for Best Actor that year! Holy crap, that's a great collection of performances (Spencer Tracy is not there as he died just a few weeks earlier IIRC).
