This past weekend saw the start of the inaugural season of the world's first Australian Rules football league for women, and by all accounts it was a rousing success. The eight team league's season is timed to conclude on the same weekend as the first week of the men's 2017 AFL season, and with admission to most matches free (only those held as part of a doubleheader with an AFL preseason match require an entry fee) there should be plenty of people eager to see if the ladies have what it takes to play this notoriously rough sport.www.abc.net.au/news/2017-02-06/aflw-what-do-we-know-after-round-one/8245286?section=sportKevin
