Yani Tseng was the youngest to win 5 majors, men or women; at age 22. As of now, Yani has 23 Hall of Fame points; not enough to enter the hall. This is clear something Lydia needs to be aware of. Yeah, except that Ko in no way is struggling as much as Ya Ni was or is. I mean, let's keep it real here! Huh...you're smoking fanofseri's crack pipe too....what gives...you're defending Lydia? Hmmmm.....looks like Toronto might destroy the Sounders tomorrow. Too bad it's not in Seattle....there would be 70,000 fans at QWest field.

Yani is finished...never to come back. IMO....2 reasons for the downward spiral. 1) prematurely lifted the 1st FAKE major trophy 2) all the bad press of her back in Taiwan have destroyed her mentally. IT"S OVER!

Some more insights: LEADBETTER’S CRITICISM OF KO FAMILY IS UNDESERVED www.globalgolfpost.com/now/2016/12/09/leadbetters-criticism-ko-family-undeservedThe family had planned to keep quiet about the coaching change. Lydia doesn’t play again until the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open in mid-February so there was no rush. They were surprised when Leadbetter made the announcement on his website but were generally pleased by its tone. Although self-serving in spots, Leadbetter’s statement was gracious. It read, in part: “Lydia is not only an exceptional player, but also an exceptional person. She is a perfect role model for any young golfer to follow on how to conduct oneself on the golf course, interact with the public, and give back to the game. Lydia has been an absolute pleasure to coach and she felt the staff at the Leadbetter Golf Academy Headquarters at Champions Gate has been like an extended family to her.” As a result, Lydia drafted a statement of her own, which mirrored Leadbetter’s in its praise. Then the GolfDigest.com story hit. Now, the Kos, who are vacationing in South Korea for Christmas, have no plans to make a statement until at least mid-January when Lydia likely will have a new coach.

Glad to see someone write the truth about a wonderful young golfer. Anyway that's my opinion of her. I still believe her game will withstand the test of time. Not so sure about Ariya.

I maintain that Lydia is pushing the panic button way too early. Comparing her to Tseng is even more absurd. Now, if a year from now she's struggling to make top tens and has no 2017 wins, then maybe we can start to talk, but not now.

Interesting article, but I'm not sure the writer can really appreciate the dynamic of the relationship between Leadbetter, Ko's parents, and Ko. No one but those people really can, so we observers are stuck making educated guesses. Having said that, I can date the moment I stopped being a Lydia fan to the time she kicked her old coach to the curb, publicly, in favor of Leadbetter. I thought it was a bad idea then, and I certainly don't think any differently now.

Love that there's no statement from the Ko's after Leadbetter rips into their family on multiple occasions.

I took a few lessons from Bruce Hamilton at Spanish Hills Country Club. He taught Corey Pavin how to golf at Las Posas Country Club. Corey was right to dump him. Cause Bruce had some problems. I went from a duck hook to a modest fade in about 30 minutes. Then I played golf at Desert Mountain, Chaparral Hills in Payson and finally at Milwaukee Country Club. Quite a vacation. Low 80s is as good as I could hope for. I wish Bruce didn't die. He had a few demons. There are a miliion pros that teach as well as the experts. Kinda sad that you grew up in a privileged household and had access to golf lessons and still suck at golf...what gives? I'm gifted. Not in golf, but I'm gifted.

Judging by her instagram LK is turning Korean. Something is going on. It's not coincidence the Ko's are in are in S. Korea. Tina is campaigning to be the next President.....just sayin. All the other Korean born golfers have dumped NZ...so why not Lydia.

Judging by her instagram LK is turning Korean. Something is going on. Nowadays the Wunderkind spends most of her off season in Korea. She only drops by New Zealand to visit her friends and to play in the New Zealand Open. But I don't think you will ever see Lydia "deflects" to Korea like the others, because 1, I believe a big part of her is genuinely a Kiwi at heart. 2, After the Kos had taken so much money from New Zealand throughout the years, it will be a PR nightmare for them to "dump" New Zealand, and definitely a negative to her image. 3, She is already very well endorsed from brands all over the world.

Tina knows jacksh*t about golf...hopefully Jay Burton does....if they were smart they would negotiate Parsons to allow them to play other OEM driver, FW & hybrids for a year or two until PXG refines those clubs. Hopefully Lydia games a M2 or Ping G30 driver.
Tina loves money.....so rather than just go back to Lydia's old ball..the ProV1....Titleist doesn't pay much....expect Lydia to be playing a Bridgestone or Srixon on an endorsement.
I gotta believe Lydia had a 3 year deal with renewal options with Cally...so Tina went shopping....not much choice out there. Adidas is trying to spin off TM so who knows what will happen with TM....Ping and Titleist are known not to lay out huge bucks except for the premier guys....Lydia doesn't fit with Cobra's image well....and I'm not sure if Mizuno, Srixon or Honma would shell out for Tina.
If Ms Pouty Face's Mizuno contract expired...I could see them replacing her with Lydia.

David Ledbetter gained more than Lydia Ko from their 3 year stint. You are so right, by a factor of 100 to 1! Ko should have never gotten involved with an empire builder like DL in the first place...she was just a tool to build up his business interests. She should deliberately stay away from the swing gurus who want to mooch off her fame. If Guy Wilson doesn't want to fly to the U.S. four times a year (I think Lydia can afford his airfare), then she should get a low(er) profile coach in Florida who focuses on standard fundamentals, not new-age crap! BTW, DL had some nice comments about Lydia in his press release...unfortunately, they were sandwiched between a lot of self-serving yackety-yack. Since then, he's taken some cracks at her and her family. He should have taken the high road and STFU. My gosh, her ball-striking was so mediocre at the CME...DL got what he deserved.
