Maybe Lydia's dad is the heavy behind all this and he does call all the shots. She'll find a new coach that will grovel at Old Man Ko's feet for all the obvious reason$.
Leadbetter might be bitter and humiliated, but he was probably right to call her and the team/squad out. Hopefully, she'll commit herself to a new swing and get in shape.
I never listened to what my father told me to do. In fact, I pretty much did the opposite. He was a respected member of the community, had a nice home and a country club membership.
You'll find me at the end of the bar, trying to scrape together enough money to pay the twilight rate at the San Clemente Muni.

He's got a right to defend himself for her performance. Would like to know who came up w/ the preshot routine where she puts her hand on her left hip and sets it into place. Things are messed up right now.

It's clear by now Lydia's father is the mover and shaker behind the scene. He's bold and not afraid to follow his conviction.
Lydia won most of her tournaments before the full arrival of Ariya, Brooke, In Gee and Sung Hyun. Lydia can be a better golfer in the future and still not win any new tournaments. Lydia's father will be held responsible for that.

I find it pretty annoying what a drama queen Lydia has been.
Yeah, compared to her former *completely ridiculous* rate of winning, the end of 2016 was terrible. But find me a golfer of any level who hasn't had a down period from times to time. You'd think she missed 20 straight cuts the way she is overreacting to all this.
What's she going to do if, after blaming everyone but herself for her downturn, she comes back in 2017 and plays even worse?

"If she can withstand outside pressure".
"If her team keep their expectation realistic".
Says the man who almost destroyed her swing. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
Their expectations were improvement, not back tracking. Good luck to Lydia. A lot of stuff to handle, at such a young age.
Deadbetter is a big whiner.

But I don't care....I'm not judgmental....I'll play some cheap golf at San Clemente muni with you and have a few libations and eat some sh*t food at the Blu Dolphin with you anytime.

It's not like David Ledbetter was the only coach that Lydia has had. Her foundation was their way before he started teaching her. It's more like he jumped on her bandwagon not the other way around. As I understood her main reason was to get more length off the tee. From what I saw she didn't drive it any longer. Just missed more fairways. Her short game and putting was more responsible for her wins, than he was. Don't care whose decision it was, she and her team has the right to make it. I can only hope that she continue to play at a high level. Golfers like her, In Gee, So Yeon, Inbee and nameless others are a great asset to the LPGA tour. A lot more than the golfers the tour like to focus on.
Oh! I forgot Jessica.....Nellie also assets

Tina & Gil know jacksh*t about golf....they were easily snowed in by BJ to join the Deadbetter Academy cause BJ gets a finder's fee. They also have no clue about loops going through so many and then hiring YES man, Jason...Lydia needs either Stevie, TMac or Larry the Loop. Although I've only seen Gil twice....I don't necessarily remember Gil interfering with Lydia on the range. How about other member's input and observations of Gil when you've seen him at events. Mell said Gil would be speaking to Lydia in Korean on the range while Deadbetter was speaking English. I'm sure if you translated Gil's comment....it would likely be..."This A Swing crap is BULLSH*T.....let's dump him soon.....and I'll get Jay Burton to put out a statement on Dec 9. It was sickening watch Ko working on the A Swing hinges on her own at Sahalee....Deadbetter was spreading his poison in Oakmont that week...and Sean Hogan was all over the LOVELY HYP. It's sad seeing the 1st A Swing move of hooding your clubface on the way back.

More HATE from our beloved mod/admin on the Entitled Kiwi Princess. I'm sorry Left quit....I would have loved to read him trying to tear Happyfan a new one reacting to the 1st sentence above. Talk about Left...he and ingeeisgod are duking it out on WRX....it's too funny.....ingeeisgod accusing Left of following him and making harsh replies.....it's hilarious. I hope ingeeisgod returns back to this forum...he's a riot.

It's laughable DL is taking credit for her wins since joining the his academy...it's a joke. Lydia is stronger and has better equipment vs. her Am days yet has lost driving distance since DL...what a farce. I bet fanofseri could have shown Ko how to draw the ball within 1 week....nuff said.

David Ledbetter gained more than Lydia Ko from their 3 year stint.

David Ledbetter gained more than Lydia Ko from their 3 year stint. It's a good deal for David; but now he will suffer the consequences.
