Dawn passed away today from her battle with bone cancer.....RIP. For some reasons, her name drew a blank; she's only 5 years older than Lorie Kane.

I remember she was a real competitor. Now, I am reading she always was concerned with others. That just makes it sadder.

It's possible I saw DCJ in person at the 2006 Shop-Rite, but I don't remember. She shot 72-71 and missed the cut by one stroke. 26 Mar 1994: Dawn Coe-Jones watches the ball fly during the Nabisco Dinah Shore event at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. Jones used to do some of the on-course commentating at the Canadian Women's Open as well.
RIP.

I don't know how many of you listen to podcasts, but I love 'em. Anyway, one of the golf ones I listen to is Women of Golf Podcast with Cindy Miller and Ted Odorico. They spoke of Dawn Coe-Jones on their most recent podcast. I listen through a podcasting app, but you can also listen on demand here: www.blogtalkradio.com/womenofgolfVery sad what happened. She knew she wasn't going to make it, but faced the time she had left with bravery, trying to help others. RIP Dawn Coe-Jones

TSN Ottawa posted this today from the 3rd round of the 1994 du Maurier...it has a brief interview with Dawn Coe-Jones at the end (she hit a hole in one during the round)
...not to hijack the thread, but it's so interesting to watch the highlight reel with zero Asian players...just a reminder of how influential Se Ri Pak really was...
