The players could be blowing smoke, but they seem to like the course. It doesn't look spectator friendly.
What is the latest on Lucy Li? Is she trying to qualify or has she already retired?
It is a shame about Muni. The results show she plays out of Wood Ranch in Simi Valley. That is a step down from North San Diego County. The senior tour and the LPGA held events at Wood Ranch and there was nothing but complaints.

Lucy Li filed an entry, but I don't remember seeing her name in the fields that I have posted; maybe I overlooked her. She's not in the fields at Industry Hills and Goose Creek. Green Valley's field won't be posted until May 16. Her mailing address is Redwood Shores, CA. ******* THE BIG ONE has finally been posted: Monday, May 23 in Virginia, right after the finish of Kingsmill. I'm guessing they'll pick six to eight players from this mini-LPGA tournament, which includes: Concolino Davies Hurst Jeray Joh Haeji Kang Soobin Kim Kirk Klatten Leblanc Meena Lee Ai Miyazato Grace Na JY Oh Reto Samantha Richdale C. Song Thidapa S. Kimberly Williams (Is this the same person as Kim Williams?) I pity the handful of amateurs that got tossed into this shark tank, although I think at least one passed the test here in 2015. So Yeon Ryu said: Played beautiful cordevalle golf club with inbee park. We had bet and both shot 68 for tie. It was fun morning? Cannot wait to play Nice to hear that Inbee is not only practicing but playing decently. Can't wait to see her tee it up again!

Cordevalle must be a goat track...Winbee and SYR shot 68...both without any bogey's...WTF and you call this a USWO course. They are slumming it...... flying in a private jet...show boating and sticking it to Ha Na.

As a fan I'm a little worried about where they're going to stick the gallery. They have already hosted the Frys.com here...so they know where to rope and build the infrastructure....but as much as the USGA wants to snow everyone that it will be well attended....IMO...I think it will be crickets. Please remember...Merica doesn't care about women's golf when it's dominated by a bunch of Asian robots.

The May 16 qualifier in Korea has already started. Considering the talent on the KLPGA's big tour, this field is pathetic. In a field of only 49 players, 33 are amateurs! Almost all of the 16 pros are nobodies. Hat tip to the Mini-Rocket, Jeong Eun Lee5 , and ex-LPGAer Su A Kim for entering. The JLPGA's Hee Kyeong Bae is also playing. I don't know how many players will pass the test, but super am Hye Jin Choi should be a cinch.

Yes....shame on the Koreans for not loading the qualifier with superior players to ensure the Merican Semple trophy remains in the hands of the rightful owners...the KOREANS. That would be great to see the young Korean Am show up the Yank diva's. Luv the Mini Rocket.

Small correction: The particular Su Ah Kim playing this event is an amateur...it's not the pro I once saw at Upper Montclair CC. The field became even more pathetic, as only 45 players teed it up (Jeong Eun Lee5 was a last-minute WD). I don't know what the Mini-Rocket shot in the morning round because she was a DQ (don't know why). Among the 44 remaining players, here are the top scores for the morning round: Hye-Jin Choi (A) -1 71 Min Young Lee -1 71 So Jeong Lee 1 73 Narangyi Bae (A) 1 73 Somi Lee (A) 1 73 Sowhi Kang (A) 1 73 Si Woo Chung (A) 1 73 Jihyun Lee (A) 1 73 Hee Kyeong Bae shot 75 and dropped out before or during the second round. There were additonal WDs, leaving 39 players to complete the afternoon round. The best scores: 1 Haeran Ryu (A) -1 74 69 143 2 Hye-Jin Choi (A) 2 71 75 146 3 Si Woo Chung (A) 3 73 74 147 4 Woo-Jeong Kim (A) 3 74 73 147 5 Min Young Lee 4 71 77 148 6 Julie Kim (A) 5 79 70 149 7 Somi Lee (A) 6 73 77 150 7 Narangyi Bae (A) 6 73 77 150 9 A-Yean Cho (A) 7 74 77 151 9 Jiyun Kim (A) 7 74 77 151 The fighting spirit award goes to Min Jung Song(A) who finished DFL (87-89-176), twelve shots behind the next player. At least she tried, which for one day puts her in a better light than the candy a$$ pros who didn't show up. Haeran Ryu(A) is on the right as low medalist, so she is in. Hye Jin Choi is on the left holding an envelope, so I assume she qualified, too...or is she an alternate? I don't think they give envelopes to alternates.

You mentioned Min Young Lee -- is she the player who has won a couple of times on the KLPGA and recently was treated for cancer? If so, she's a reasonably big name.

I'm looking forward to seeing Haeran Ryu. Looks like she can hit some of the par 5s in two.
