In Gee birdied 7 and 8 to go -9, 3 behind Lexi.

The length of Lexi and Jessica is such an unfair advantage when they play well.

Bo Mee birdied 8, 9 and 10 to go -5; tie 11. The other players need maximum power upgrades. Korda and Lexi are going to get longer and longer over the next several years.

Another full shot (2nd shot) of In Gee to the right of par 5 #10 green, she has a 20 yard pitch to the hole for a potential birdie. She missed a 10 foot putt and made par.

Jessica's bunker shots haven't improved over the years.

If the leaderboard is the same on Sat. I will have to watch at Blue Dolphin in Dana Point or some bar in K-Town.

Round One LPGA news regarding Lexi: Thompson is playing with a new driver this week, adding to her bag what she described as the new King Cobra, a 9-degree driver with an extra stiff shaft by Fujikura that is both black and blue in design. Thompson said she pulled out the driver on nearly every hole on Thursday, hitting 11 of 14 fairways in round one.
“Well, I've been trying to work into it for probably the last few months, and just trying to find a shaft that works for me, and finally found something I'm very comfortable with.”A better driver for Lexi ...not only is this tournament over, but the season might be over, too. Bo Mee Lee is T-16 at -3...those jumbled-letter Honma caps are really lame. SY Ryu is T-24, -1. Jenny Shin is T-16, -3. She dropped her T/M irons in favor of Titleist AP2 716s, which is unusual...maybe a loaner set from Jordan. Young "name" players often drop Titleist for other brands, not the reverse.

I better figure out a way to like Lexi fast. This could be the match of the year tomorrow if Dumbo and can pick up a couple early.

I played 9 holes with my Spalding Elite irons circa 1972. I teed off with my Ping Eye2 laminate driver. The ball did not fly too far. I used my Dad's Bobby Locke blade putter. On one hole I used a Sam Snead Wilson ball made in 1970. Makes you appreciate today's equipment. Too bad you weren't at the golf show. You could have upgraded by picking up a used set of Wilson Goosenecks circa 1989!

That's a dose of reality to In Gee; to shoot her best round as a LPGA member, but lost ground to the leader in the process. Life is hard.
Sometimes, it's impossible to stop a runaway locomotive that's Lexi; but patience is virtue and things never stay the same.

I can't picture a better scenario than what to be unfolded; Lexi and In Gee, two charismatic 21 years old that can take LPGA to new heights, duel it out in the sunset.
Ali and Frazier, Magic and Bird; this won't be the last time they fight it out at the final group of the final day of a tournament, but it certainly is the first.
What a contrast in style, the brute power and the deft touch of Lexi versus the calm and surgery precision of In Gee. This can be the best rivalry in golf history if both continue to develop and improve.
The best of all though is that both seem to be genuinely good people and both seem to love what they do best, playing golf.

While all the attention will be on Lexi and to some degree In Gee; Amy Yang can still defend her title against all odds.
It's hard to find a sports figure as talented as Amy but in the same time as unheralded. Luck hasn't on her side on so many big occasions.
While I hope In Gee takes a rabbit out of a hat and somehow wins it; but it won't break my heart if Amy does.

It's going to be hard for anyone to catch Lexi. Because the golf course fits her length and if she putts anywhere near how she putted today. Anyway it should be an interesting final round. Go In Gee!!!
Also glad to see In Bee score four under back nine to finish even par.
