Because In Gee was a sponsor invite, her winnings didn't count as official money nor did she get points for Race to CME Globe. But she got points for Player of Year and Rookie of the Year; she ties No. 5 for Player of the Year with 21 and leads Rookie of the year with 155. This is true, but allow me my regular rant about how stupid it is. If you get a sponsor's exemption and have a card, you still have to play well enough to make it worth your while. If you are getting the invite because you have a cute smile and little talent, you won't earn enough money to make a difference; but if you play really well, and after all, they are counting POY, ROY points, etc., why should you also get official money counted towards your total? You are also making the sponsor happy by accepting the invite, so why should the LPGA discourage you from accepting the invite by not counting the money? Just a lame system IMO.

The LPGA isn't discouraging any one from not playing....but yes.....the whole system is bogus...you play..... you make 'official' money and points etc....end of story. At the end of the day...it's all about the majors...and yes...the LPGA demonstrates it's foolishness with 5 majors and even to hear Whan say that he'd fund the ANA if a sponsor was not found is totally ludicrous....if an event can't survive....it should die....and it just shows you that the ANA is questionable as a major as it too way too long to secure a sponsor.

I can't believe you people. In Gee finished second fourteen under par. Already you are labeling her as too nervous and may not win, for a few years. I read of none of the above in 18majors post on the previous page....ya he made a reference that it took a while for Ai-Chan to win....but I for one..... didn't interpret it as Dumbo's inability to win for a couple of years. I remember a dust-up you had with TonyJ awhile ago....reading/interpreting something in his post that just didn't exist.

Round 4 With Lexi Thompson having a four shot lead going into the day on a track she was playing almost flawlessly, and where her length was a huge benefit, I figured it was unlikely In Gee (or anyone) was going to track her down and get the win. I was basically hoping that Dumbo could put it out there, make it interesting, and at worst secure a runner up finish. Mission accomplished! Man, she played some great golf today. As I watched her hit all those quality shots and really give Lexi a challenge, I got more and more excited thinking about the future and what we might see from her this year. She was especially clutch with her short game, where she pulled off quite a few sweet chips/pitches from tough positions. I especially like the pitch on the 10th (?) where she gently plopped it over the bunker to a few feet for the birdie. She is just quality all around! And hearing the Thai fans cheering like mad was hella fun! What is it with these unlikely fan clubs the Sisters have been gathering this year? First it was Danielle Kang's Aussie contingent, and now In Gee enraptures the Thais. Interesting. I pretty much knew it was over on 10. In Gee hit a great birdie there, but Thompson hit her second with a short club to a few feet for an easy eagle. With Thompson not making the usual bad short putts and botches in her short game, and her length allowing her to gain ground on In Gee like that (In Gee simply wasn't physically capable of that shot), it seemed inevitable at that point that In Gee would lose. It's a bit of a bummer that she struggled after that, making a few mistakes, but not surprising. I didn't read it as succumbing to pressure, but more an effort to push it too much in an effort to find any way to chip into Thompson's lead as time ran out. Still, she had 8 birdies, finished solo second, and made it interesting for nine holes. I'm more than happy with that! As for the rest, I was also glad to see Amy make that run late to get back to third, and Rocket played like a boss as well. Ha Na Jang made a sweet eagle on the one hole, and Q Baek nearly rallied to a top ten, finishing solo 11th. Including Nomura and Minjee, seven of the top ten players were Sisters. Congrats to Thompson, who thoroughly deserved the win. And great job by In Gee, Amy and the rest. Sisters Hwaiting!!!!! PS - it was cool when In Gee and Amy surprised Thompson by drenching her on the last. And also good to hear Whan give some good words about In Gee during the telecast. He said that every pro am partner she has had has reported back to him how much they have loved playing with her. No surprise to me! Bo Mee Lee

Far too early to discuss if Dumbo can be a Korean GOAT.....with 17 wins, 7 majors......Winbee doesn't really attract that discussion yet...but she's getting close.. But no one will ever surpass Se Ri's impact on Korean golf.....Korean golf businesses and even some Van City courses should be kissing Se Ri's a*s for all the business she has brought in from the golf crazed Koreans. I didn't mean of all time. I meant right now. When you finished your sentence with....period....I interpreted it as GOAT. Anyways....of the up and coming 'real' Koreans.....HJK, Bada*s, The Hulk, Dumbo....and then hopefully Jin Young Ko, Sung Hyun Park hopefully on tour in 2017....it will likely take until 2019 to see how many of these gals will separate themselves from their peers for a long and sustainable GREAT career. And let's not forget about the two top ranked Korean Am's who seem to be getting better month by month.

No surprise to me! 1) Luv The Rocket!! 2) You can see the sincerity of Dumbo and Amy wishing Lexi on her win....unlike some other sore loser on tour. 3) I have told this story before but it's worth repeating. In 2012, I played in a tournament 1 month after the CN CWO. A guy sat down at our dinner table. The event has a random draw for pros for the pro-am....his company had their pick late in the draw....SYR had not been picked so they picked her not knowing much about SYR...hey he's a whitey. He said he couldn't have been more happy with their choice...he was so impressed with SYR. And without me provoking....he tore a strip off of The Pink Diva...he said she was not really friendly and acting entitled at a jr event earlier in the week.

I agree with your sentiment, but it's what is. Let's look at it a little differently though. The $149,262.00 is real money, it's probably enough to pay for Dr. Won Park's travel expenses for 2016. The only thing official money makes a difference is in determining In Gee's exemption priority for 2017 and in deciding her ranking for 2016 Race to CME Global tournament. So, if In Gee finishes 2016 with an official money of $3,000,000.00; then $149,262.00 she forfeited doesn't make a dent. If she finishes with $200,000.00, then $149,262.00 will be a matter life and death. I hope In Gee will finish 2016 closer to $3,000,000.00 than to $200,000.00. On the other hand; the Rolex Ranking, POY and ROY points she gets are something money can't buy.

Using slang from the National Basketball Association, Mi Hyang Lee scored a 67 during "garbage time". Well, it's good momentum she can carry into Singapore, I hope. I overlooked this pic from Round Two:

Oh ya....w/o even hitting the XTD....I gotta believe the XTD is superior to the Jetspeed....if you don't like it...ya wanna trade heads....lol. You sure about that? A ton of pros have played the JetSpeed, but I can't remember seeing a picture of any playing the XTD. It's not important, but I was curious enough to look up photos of six Adams staffers from 2014 via gettyimages.com to see what drivers they used: Jodi E.S. - TM RBZ Tom Watson- Adams Speedline F11 * Ernie Els – TM JetSpeed, TM SLDR Kenny Perry – Adams Super LS Speedline XTD Aaron Baddeley – TM JetSpeed Gerina Piller – TM RBZ * - He used a ceremonial Adams XTD during a charity golf event for his Autism foundation. Maybe the XTD is as good or better than the Jetspeed, but "the buzz" around Adams has been muted after being acquired by TaylorMade...everyone's still crazy about Adams hybrids, but nobody cares anymore about their other stuff, regardless of the quality. I made a quick stop at GolfSmith today. They had a used JetSpeed 10.5 with a stock Velox 'S' shaft. It had no dents in it, but plenty of use...selling for $70.93 + tax. I'm already formulating a test of my new weapon at a secluded park near me, which has enough straight real estate for a driver...more on that later.

I assume MHL will find a loop in the parking lot in Singapore....if she plays poorly...I expect dad to beg Old Mike to return for the 3rd time....lol.

The thing I don't understand is that I talked to Jennifer at the LPGA a few minutes ago, and she said that if your a sponsor exemption you get no CME points. Huh? What...Whan's not taking your calls? Huh...the LPGA office picks up calls on Sunday....I assume Jennifer is the high school intern who designed the blue on blue website....lol. I bet the LPGA gets a lot of free child labor....lots of people want to get into the golf industry...it wouldn't surprise me that the LPGA has 10-20 free interns at any point in time.

I'm already formulating a test of my new weapon at a secluded park near me, which has enough straight real estate for a driver...more on that later. The only reason why I bought a Jetspeed was because it's being dumped in the market and is one of the cheapest adjustable drivers. I've hit the SLDR, R1 and I can't say the Jetspeed was superior to either....the SLDR is the least forgiving...but that's no surprise. The XTD has a really hot face....and I believe the Red Tie is a good shaft. I highly doubt you wouldn't like the XTD...if it's not for you...it's likely you won't like the Red Tie and if indeed the adapter is transparent to the latest TM drivers...you can seek out or swap for a new shaft. Amazingly and by pure chance within a day...I stumbled across/found a R1 shaft for a R1 head a friend gave to a golf friend of ours. Because it's a low spin head....and unless you have amazing club head speed...I suggest you loft up. Hey...let's face it...if it's not for you....you can likely get your money back selling it on Craigslist. FYI.....$70 is too much for a Jetspeed.....go to the major golf forums in their BST....you can obtain a JS for $50. Put a good swing on a driver and the ball will go...hit it with a lousy swing and you know the results.
