Young Kim is now a Bit Older. After a 17-year long career in the pro ranks, Young Kim has announced she will retire. Young joined the KLPGA in 1998 as an 18-year-old. She won twice on that tour. In 2002, she joined the Futures Tour, then joined the LPGA in 2003. She played for quite a while on the LPGA tour, notching one win in 2007. She left the tour in 2010 to focus on the JLPGA. She managed her first win there in 2013. Young was famous for her bucket hat: Best of luck to Young Kim in her future endeavors!

Ok, maybe I chose the wrong song but anyway here's a video I did back in the day when Young Kim won Corning. Sorry for the poor quality, back then I was using Windows Movie Maker. Forever Young!

Nice to see some shots of Mi Hyun Kim and Grace Park! Who was it with the long braid that holed out toward the end of the video?

I believe that I still have the tape of that tournament. I was really impressed by Young Kim's play. Also two of my favorites AI and Mi Hyun Kim was in it. Among others. Mainly Mi Hyun (peanut) who I was pulling for to win. My favorite golfer at the time.

BKB Why all blogs of pros that are typically not in the limelight?...Ashlan, Lee Ann, Young Kim, etc The simple answer is that when I say I like 90% or more of the players, I mean it. It stems from love of the sport/tour. Not just the stars...the tour/sport itself. In tennis, it's all of tennis. In golf, it's the various women's tours. Not a PGA fan save for a couple of players like Tiger Woods and Jason Day. And I formerly posted on my blog about the LET during the time Lee-Anne won her Order of Merit. It was nice to see the video of her by CCTV. Once I shifted to more JLPGA, I just didn't have time to do tennis, JLPGA, LPGA and LET...and still have a social life! LOL! HappyFan started this thread about Young Kim, not me. It reminded me of the video I did when she won Corning. She was a favorite of mine back then. Loved the hats and her wonderful, emotionally raw tearful interview she did after winning Corning. Even if I didn't have the video I would have posted a response because I really liked Young Kim a lot. Don't take this the wrong way...I'm just curious. This is the second time you've asked why I am into who I'm into (first time was Ariya). Isn't it just ok to like who I like and post about whomever I want so long as I abide by board rules? No burn meant at all, just asking.

Because golf is primarily an individual sport....I'm kinda surprised how some get jacked up by generally rooting for players from a certain nationality....oh well. As you know...I like and don't like various players...women and male. OK...The Smiling Buddha is a biased shallow dbag...he does fav the eye candy gals with personality.

Funny thing is, I don't think you are alone. My personal feeling is that it's okay to think players are attractive as long as you also respect and appreciate their talent, which you do. I've seen posters other places where it's obvious they are ONLY there for eye candy. Those are not real tennis/golf fans. And it goes both ways. I know female fans of golf who REALLY like Adam Scott.

Talk about beauties....Nicole Castrale retired today....IMO...one of the classiest dressed pros at the gala events. Kinda of a plain personality and never took advantage of her looks to gain more exposure.....she should have befriended Gulbis...especially considering their TMaG gals.
