Huh...why not just say....'fake'...I had to look up 'kyopos'....lol.
I forgot about Hannah.....I wonder if she'll be an aberration or the real thing......I'm thinking Hannah is not a 'fake'.....she's ranked #2 Am....but look at Kristen Gillman all the way to #114....The Canadian Princess must be killing herself after choking away the 2014 Am to Kristin.
Huh...you don't like 'fake' Alison...you only briefly made mention at the end.

Happy Huh...no mention of Alison in the 2015 ROY race?  ?? Do you really despise her because she's a 'fake' Korean?......Minjee is just as fake but you fawn over Minjee. IMO....Alison has the "it" factor....BUT.....it's nothing until she starts winning in bunches...otherwise...... Alison will be a pro just like all the others. I'm not expecting much fanfare from Annie Park neither. Unless she was injured...her descent in the Am rankings was suspect. Lydia, Alison, Brooke and Megan...just to name a few...once they got to the top or near the top of the world Am rankings...they stayed there. Megan Khang might be a dark horse in the ROY race...but Dumbo should be a lock....but quite a few past ROY fav's failed in their attempts. |

No knock against Alison, I just didn't think her record was as impressive as the four I did mention. As for Annie, she might not do as well as Meghan or Simin Feng next year, but I'm focusing on ethnic Korean players, so other than In Gee, she's the only one I see who might make some noise next season. Still not convinced she will, but I think she's roughly in the same league as Alison Lee, so it's certainly possible. Here's the final day! Player of the Year... Four nominees... I had a category I discontinued a few years ago called Biggest Comeback. If I had given that award this year, Shin Ae Ahn would have won it for sure. I'm not sure she qualifies as most improved, since her general season, aside from the win, was not that great (certainly she did not improve as much as Sung Hyun Park did). but I think she's roughly in the same league as Alison Lee, so it's certainly possible. Huh....no way Annie Park is in the same league as Alison.....if I'm wrong....I eat as much crow as you want to feed me. |

Thanks HF for a very comprehensive and well thought-out article. Both Lydia and Inbee are established; they've earned places on Women's Professional golf even if they don't strike another ball. On the other hand, this is truly the dawn of a new era for In Gee. I'm happy for what In Gee has accomplished thus far in her career; but all is for nah if she doesn't back it up in 2016 and beyond. Hopefully, she doesn't pull a Q Baek 2015 redux. Unfortunately, we probably will never know how great Bo Mee can be. This hurts; because she, So Yeon and In Gee are arguably three of the fairest girls on earth. |
