I don't see Bo Mee Lee as #1, either... But if you had told me three years ago that an 18-year-old Lydia Ko was going to get to #1, I wouldn't have believed it, either. Believe it. HP, I notice how you carefully say "three years". Was that pre or post Lydia's win at the Canadian Open ? After that win, everyone could see she is going to have a Tiger like career. But since she started so young and was so "intensively" groomed for a golf career by her parents. The biggest question is whether she would play long enough to challenge all those career records, or like she said, be done at age 30.

1) No am English, you nailed it perfect, another white guy who just has a liking for young Korean girls (lol). 2) I follow woman's golf very closely as I gamble for a living & the LPGA is my favoured tour to bet on. 1) LMAO....another Rice King with yellow fever. I think the Smiling Buddha is the only regular Asian poster among a sea of white guys fawning over Korean gals on this site. 2) I've learned quite a bit from a handicapper on WRX.....I'd like to hear some LPGA betting tips from you before I disclose some tips that I believe are statistically significant.

I use my own take on the Kelly Criterion for my selections which is basically, the price offered v the probability of winning. I really need a market from bookmakers before I can give betting tips. I have started a post on here where I try & predict the money-list winners on the LPGA, JLPGA, KLPGA, LET, Symetra tour & the olympic gold winner seoulsisters.freeforums.net/thread/889/2016-money-winners-olympic-predictions. These aren't really tips as I will not be investing in any other than Leona Maguire Olympic Gold if her form stands up well until then & she's priced at 50/1 or bigger.

I'm not a gambler but here's some info I gained from a handicapper on WRX...and IMO .....makes a lot of sense. He only bets on head to head matchup. He doesn't believe current form has much substance.....therefore he looks for overvalved pros who many perceive as 'hot' and bets against them if he sees valve in the opponent Based on the mechanics in women's golf....he has somewhat demonstrated ( through historical stats) that if you bet on a gal that's approx 5'6" over a much shorter or taller gal you'll win over the long run.....IMO ........this makes sense of what we have witnessed. The true greats in modern women's golf have been Annika, Se Ri, Lorena, Karrie Webb...then most recently are Lydia, Inbee and Stacy.....all around 5'6". Yes....one might say that the average height is around 5'6" on the LPGA BUT Why have we not seen taller gals...who have a distance advantage....dominate the tour?....seems like all these taller gals have only average short games. He also looks at implicit's.....like the pro's 'choke' avoidance and getting it done on Sunday.

But since she started so young and was so "intensively" groomed for a golf career by her parents. The biggest question is whether she would play long enough to challenge all those career records, or like she said, be done at age 30. My memory of the year or so post-Canadian win was that Ko didn't contend all that often when she was at LPGA events. If you look at Hyo Joo Kim's record the year before she came on tour, it was better (all top tens plus a Major win). So, I expected Ko to be a strong golfer, maybe win once or twice a year. But I didn't see her being as consistent as she is so fast, let alone one of the two or three top players on tour. Even Ochoa took a while to get going, and she was a dominant amateur player in her day. Hyo Joo was similarly dominant on the KLPGA against some really great players, and she has yet to kick it into that top gear. So really, based on the way these things go, I think it's been a bit surprising what Ko has done, and hardly inevitable.
