Yay to Jiyai Shin, her 10th win on the JLPGA tour! I sure hope she is now planning her return to the LPGA in earnest, like she said she wanted to do earlier in the year. It would have been unbelievable if In Gee had made her first three events in Japan Major wins, but a 6th is not bad at all, especially considering she isn't 100% right now. Great job for her, too. I love that photo of her hugging Jiyai up above; she looks twice her size! Congrats to all the Sisters on a great, record-shattering 2015!

note: I know the JLPGA is saying this is her 10th JLPGA win, but I have this as her 12th win...are they not counting the 2 Mizuno wins? OK, I just checked the website on the JLPGA. The review of the victory says 10 wins, but their own listing of her lifetime wins has 11 wins: www.lpga.or.jp/members/info/1000921 (click the Lifetime performance tab) It is not showing the 2008 Yokohama PRGR win. Have to do some digging here. Even if it's not 12 wins, as I have it...their own site can't decide whether it's 10 or 11. more pics and video on my blog: bangkokbobbysports.wordpress.com/2015/11/29/jiyai-shin-wins-2015-jlpga-tour-championship-ricoh-cup/Jiyai Shin with Championship Trophy (blue) and sponsor’s trophy (red)Congratulations to one of my favorite players, Jiyai Shin, on her Major victory at the season ending 2015 JLPGA Championship Ricoh Cup. Shin lived up to her nickname “The Final Round Queen” with a 4-under 68 to finish at 7-under. That was good enough for a 6 shot victory over 2nd place Shiho Oyama (-1), who lost the overnight lead with a final round 3-over 75. They were the only two players to finish under par. It’s Jiyai’s 12th career JLPGA victory and first JLPGA Major. This earns Shin the achievement of having won a Major on the LPGA, the KLPGA and the JLPGA. She actually has 5 KLPGA Majors and 2 LPGA Majors. Interestingly, the 2 Majors she won on the LPGA were also sponsored by Ricoh, the 2008 and 2012 Ricoh Women’s British Open. She takes home 25 million Japanese Yen (just a bit north of around $203,600 USD) for her JLPGA Championship Ricoh Cup victory. 1 JIYAI SHIN (-7)

Holy cow, I swear I wouldn't be able to recognize Jiyai if I look at her "now" picture. She looks more like Inky.

Interesting bit in the Korean press this morning: Bo Mee Lee says her goal is to win an LPGA tournament next year, preferably a Major. Sounds like we are going to see her playing over here several times next season!
