I noticed that the Koreans have 6 of the top ten in the Rolex Rankings this week... Seven if you count Lydia Ko, who was born in Korea. That's the most I've ever seen up there.
Just think. The number #9 golfer in the world would not make the Korean Olympic squad.
1. Inbee Park 12.78 (2. Lydia Ko 12.52) 4. So Yeon Ryu 6.49 7. Hyo Joo Kim 5.90 8. In Gee Chun 5.71 --------------------------Olympic Cut--------------- 9. Amy Yang 5.51 10. Sei Young Kim 5.28

At the expense of Suzann Pettersen who was parked there for over 400 weeks.

Thanks to her great Sunday, Amy Yang has inched ahead of In Gee Chun and onto the Olympic squad, at least for now. And Pettersen is back in the top ten again, knocking Sei Young Kim out.
1. Inbee Park 12.69 5. So Yeon Ryu 6.46 7. Hyo Joo Kim 5.86 8. Amy Yang 5.76 ------------------------ 9. In Gee Chun 5.73 11. Seii Young Kim 5.29

So do you think the Korean govn't will grease the palms of the Olympic team to bring home gold.....like my countrymen from across the sea.
Supposedly the women's bronze winning 2010 curling team from China who were all in their teens were coached by a Canuck and practiced 14 hrs/day at a facility in Lacombe, Alta.....quite an advantage considering most curlers have F/T 'real' jobs and take a 6 month leave of absence prior to the games.
