This biggie will attract an international/major league field, but will not include any KLPGA regulars ... you know ... "punishment." 💰
It starts Thursday for a field of 132 ... top-60 plus ties make the cut. The field includes Sharon, Baby Ronni, Minami Katsu, Jasmine, CW, Bianca, Inami, Furoo and Yuri.
An odd choice for the venue: Kanehide Kise CC ... a swanky resort on Okinawa. This is not the same course they play for the season opener in Okinawa. I assume the whole island will show up to watch, but forget about jumping on a bus or bullet train for anyone else. Accuweather says the highs will 90-91 F.

The morning wave is out there ... Rio Takeda buried the back nine with six birdies and leads by two strokes. Despite her runaway season, she has not "gripped" the locals if her IG count of only 15K followers is a relevant indicator.

Baby Ronni (still 15) is playing the next two weeks on the JLPGA ... she's not in the field for the Japan Women's Open after that, although they have 10 open spots ... who needs frickin' school ... pretty soon she could buy the school.
Sharon in the storm cellar, but she'll pick up some decent moolah ... for her next vacation.

The TV Asahi stream worked perfectly, which focused almost exclusively on the last group of Takeda, Akie and MeYou ... Honest Abe will take MeYou's spot in the last group on Sunday. This resort course does not look particularly challenging for these players ... no courses on Okinawa made Japan's list at the top-100 golf course website. BTW, Kana Mikashima was a DQ per Rule 3.3b(3) ... incorrect scorecard.
