www.lpga.com/news/2015-course-sites-for-kpmg-pga-releaseOlympia Fields (2017) and Kemper Lakes (2018) have had men's majors in the past. I could be wrong, but I don't think we have members of this forum who live in that area. I had Kemper Lakes on my old (circa 1990) Jack Nicklaus video golf game.

So much for KPMG wanting to locate the event all over the US and globe. I wonder how much business they do in the Pac Rim.....because of the PGA of America's involvement....the event may never leave the center of the universe. Lots of ChiTown members on WRX. Phil...I think you are older than I...you play video games? ??.....do you also own a skateboard?....lol. I some times see old farts at the nearby skateboard park hanging with the kids...lol.

Woohoo! Two years in a row! Kemper Lakes is close enough to Badgerland to be a volunteer and make multiple visits. I sort of remember when Jim Furyk won the men's Open at Olympia Fields. It seemed a bit blah, but maybe that was from watching Furyk putt rather than the golf course.

The Jack Nicklaus golf game (1988 thru 1991 versions) by Accolade was awesome! How else could I shoot 57 at the world's greatest golf courses? Under the right conditions, you could drive it 319! It's the only video game I ever bought or played...they were on 5.25" disks! I later copied them onto 3.5" disks, then copied them onto hard drives when floppy drives disappeared. The hard drive solution didn't last long...the software of JN Golf is so antiquated that it can't run on the last several generations of PCs.

You guys referring to the Golden Bear Challenge? One of my favorite Youtube groups, Funhaus, does a series called "Demo Disk", where they play old games on CDs. This game was on their show. Warning: There are some swears and stuff, but I think we're all mature enough for that.

I guess Jack licensed his name with more than one video game company, because I've never seen this one before. My brand (Accolade) was more primitive than what I see here.

Olympia Fields is a nice country club. It will be interesting to see if anyone goes to see the tournament. I suspect the small galleries in Chicago will convince Whan that Asia should get the LPGA on a rotating basis.
