Ji Young Park withdrew in the second round, so congratulations to Yewon Lee, who has now confirmed her win of the 2023 money list title. Park was the only player who could still catch her, but by withdrawing that is now impossible no matter how Lee finishes in the final two tournaments of the season. Congrats again to Yewon Lee!  |

According to the article, Youmin was having abdominal pains. By withdrawing and Min Byeol making the cut, I think Min Byeol can lock up the ROY. She's about 200 points ahead as is, so I figure if she makes about 100 points this week she can't be caught. I think a top 20 would do it, but I'm not exactly sure of what she would need. She has some work to do, though, since right now she's near the bottom of the leaderboard.
Yewon has locked up the money list and, given how she's playing this week, is close to locking up the Player of the Year as well. If she wins she might get close to breaking Min Ji Park's record for most money made as well.
I don't ever recall an event where Jae Hee Kim shared the lead after a round (or had the round of the day). She has talked about how she feels her game has turned a corner, and it feels like she is contending more often. It would be incredible if she pulls out the win here. Love this kid.
Da Been Heo is another favorite. Watching today, you could see the obstacle she faces on this tour. She was frequently well back of her playing partners off the tee, and she had a number of lengthy birdie putts (I mean around 60 feet) during the round. She has actually come closer than Kim to winning (lost a playoff once), but I would be equally thrilled to see her bag one.
Yu Jin Sung and Jung Min Hong (and by rumor So Mi Lee) are all supposedly going to LPGA Q Series, and all are in the hunt this week. Jin Hee Im is not far back, and she's also going to Q Series. Nice to see them all in top condition if they are going to try to qualify.

I don't believe Yewon can pass Minji's money record unless she wins AND does really well next week. She may need to finish like second next week. I'm not sure. I know the purse is too small this week.

Jung Ha Na won the 2021 KB Star Championship. So unless I'm mistaken, she has full tour status to continue missing cuts all next year before she loses her tour card. I would like some confirmation on this.

Yu Jin Sung was one of several women to hole out for eagle in round 3. This moved her back into the hunt after a few holes of struggle.
So Mi Lee had one, too, albeit not quite as dramatic. She still enjoyed it!

She missed a short birdie on seventeen, but putts directly behind the hole line you up to miss left. Her second shot on par five eighteen was pulled left into the trees. However, she pitched out and hit her fourth shot stiff to save par. A great round of minus five by Mighty Mite Seung Yeon Lee. Not great but Min Byeol Kim scored minus three to move up the Leader Board. She will probably have a great Final Round

Min Byeol shot a 5 under par 67, which was tied for 8th best of the day, so she should be pretty happy. She just was so far back to start that even after that she's still t-30th. Alas, she was ignored by the photogs yesterday; I haven't found even one pic of her from Saturday.
I think another round in the 60s and she's ROY. Good luck to her!

All the greens are soaked when Jae Hee Kim and Seung Yeon Lee take a two stroke lead.
It may be a while before they start again if ever
It has stopped raining maybe they will clear the water off the greens
