Prelim JLPGA q-school is finished. Ga Eun Song (-11) better hit the books again, she fell to second place at Site 'A'. Yui, Sharon and Ji Hye Park also passed at Site 'A'. Babe Liu was the only foreigner to pass at Site 'B' and ditto for Eimi Koga at site 'C'.

Na Ri Lee is entered in the final stage of JLPGA q-school this week. Also entered is old, broken-down Ji Hee Lee, who will turn 45 in February ... made two of six cuts on the big tour in 2023 and also picked up a win on the scrub tour.

Top article yesterday on the JLPGA and Song Ga Eun mentioned Song has NO Immediate plans to join the JLPGA. She seems to be testing herself.
Google mush excerpt from article above has comments from Ga Eun Song (-4, 73-67) - “The accuracy of my iron shot was very good. I was able to make good use of my birdie opportunities, and I think it was a good round. I don’t like playing in the wind. It shakes my heart. It really made me feel better. This year, I had poor results on the KLPGA Tour and lost my confidence... Originally, I wanted to compete on various tours around the world. Because of that feeling, I decided to play in Japan and am heading in the right direction. I'm really happy. I plan to mainly play in Korea in 2024, but I will also be participating in the JLPGA Tour at the same time. I think I will expand to Japan in the near future while gaining a lot of experience.”

Jae Eun Chung tried puddling jumping between ROK and Japan a few years, but didn't do well enough on either tour to sustain herself. I'm guessing Song is a better player, so it might work.

Boy, I hope she changes her mind. She isn't going to get anywhere unless she commits.

Recently, KLPGA players need to crack the 200 Million won level to ensure top 60. Ga Eun would need to seemingly win once a year to ensure her card for the next year.

Didn't Hae Rym Kim jump between the JLPGA and the KLPGA Tour after she got her JLPGA card. I believe that she played great on the JLPGA Tour her first year. Not sure how she played after that and how long before she returned to just the KLPGA Tour

JLPGA: Ga Eun won the Q-School and Shin Ae Ahn qualified. Both are waffling about what they want to do next. Stay tuned!
