During tonight's broadcast, they mention a Japanese player winning the 2023 Jump Tour opener earlier this month, Sayaka Kitsuya. It was her first start in Korea.

18-year-old National Team member Cherry Lim has turned pro and won her first career pro event on the Jump tour. She shot a 67 in the first round to tie for the lead, then blistered the field with a 64 in round two that included an eagle and six birdies. Lim received a 'Se Ri Kids golf scholarship' as a youngster, allowing her to make the switch from swimming to golf. She considers Se Ri her role model and thanked her in the awards ceremony.

Another teen national team standout won for the first time on the Jump Tour this week! I An Cho has appeared in a few KLPGA events in the last couple of years. Not sure if she has turned pro or is still amateur (you can be an am and play on the Jump Tour), but congrats to her! (EDIT: the linked article says that she is an "Associate KLPGA member", which, they explain, is a status granted talented high school kids to allow them to play at a pro level. So it sounds like she's still amateur. This was just her second Jump tour event). https://www.instagram.com/p/Cs8JM_7rs_a

Here's a shot of I An Cho playing last year's Daebo HouseD Open. She played four KLPGA events last year, but only made the cut at the PLK event in December, where she finished 35th. At the Hoban:

Cherry Lim from 2012. She was labeled a '7-year-old golf prodigy' at the time. Eleven years later and she has her first Jump tour win.

Ji Hyun Jeong won on the Jump tour a few weeks ago, her fourth event on tour and first win. She led the Jump tour money list and so has been promoted to the Dream Tour. Here is a video recap of her win:
