I watched the NBC.com stream yesterday, and they got to talking about how it has been 15 years since the tour played on this course and the history here. Kay Cockerill quoted Juli Inkster how she "was not going to lose to a pound cake". Everybody got into the Sarah Lee puns but not into the golfer herself. So I headed to the trusty SeoulSisters.com website to find that Sarah Lee lost to the Inkster on the final hole at the Safeway International in 2006.
Finishing second would be the best result Lee Jung Yeon would ever achieve on the LPGA Tour. She returned to the Korean tour in 2011. She had a DUI conviction in 2013 and faded away soon after that.

Lexi(TM) is literally one shot off of DFL as I write this, yet GC continues to show every single shot she makes. GC could show literally ANY other player on the course right now and they would be playing better than her. What a waste of airtime. I had to turn it off.
GC isn't doing the viewers, the other players and especially Lexi any favors by showing this trainwreck.

Not much to say about this birdie fest, except So Yeon Ryu missed the cut and Yaeeun Hong made it. The LPGA really needs to set these courses up for Professional Golfers, now it's just a putting contest.

Round 2 The good news is the the Koreans are doing pretty well. Jin Young shot her fourth round of 65 or better in the past three events, and is now only three back. In Gee had a decent day, but finds herself in her usual position of between 15th and 35th on the leaderboard (24th in this case), although only five back. Great day for Jenny Shin, Eun Hee and Narin An, and after a little struggle, Hye Jin surged to 5 under and made the cut. Hae Ran is tied with In Gee after a nice day. Sei Young is lurking. The bad news is that the scores, as usual, are ridiculously overinflated. Out of the top 14 on the leaderboard, only one shot worse than 67. At least the Sisters are responding well so far to this. Too bad about So Yeon and Jeongeun Lee6; I read an article about Six talking about how hard she has worked in the off-season, and how she feels that she's hitting it longer and much more consistently and expects to see results. I sure hope she's right, but today was not a promising sign. Sisters hwaiting!!

I notice that In Gee and Hae Ran are paired together tomorrow. I'm not sure they even know each other? But should be a good pairing for the rookie.

-3 just made the cut. Ariya came back from nowhere to make the cut. She doesn't have to watch big sister try to win.

Kudos to Hae Ran Ryu and Amy Yang Hae Ran had a clean score card six birdies and eagle on eighteen missed only two greens one fairway. Amy Yang had ten birdies one bogey, made the biggest move from tied for forty-seven to a tie for seven place. If Las Vegas had odds on who will win, they took it off the board. kidding By the way they said that Sei Young Kim hurt her back and had to change last year

Round 3 I wish I was more interested in these birdie fests, because the Koreans are actually doing decently and might steal this one. It felt like everyone was making an eagle on the final hole. In Gee did, Hae Ran as well. Sei Young, too. No wonder; I saw a couple of those tries, and some of them were not long. When even middle length hitters are hitting mid-irons into a par 5, something's definitely wrong. Still, I have to say I was excited to see Amy make that big move. She doesn't seem to have any logos on her clothes anymore; she could probably use this more than anyone. Hae Ran was sensational; playing with In Gee today did help her, as I thought it might. She's in the final group tomorrow. What an amazing chance she has to get an early win and make a statement. Meanwhile, just when it looked like Moriya was going to run away and hide, she made two late bogies, and suddenly there is a potential free-for-all looming. Look at all those great Sisters three back: Jin Young, Sei Young, Narin, Jenny Shin, and Amy. Jin Young is hitting it long, has been hitting a ton of greens, and seems poised to have a great day tomorrow. We'll see. Sisters hwaiting!

It's just another tragedy. If I could do it over, I'd 100% root for Annika.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CqRoX3Htyu2 Congratulation to Celine Boutier for her third LPGA well deserved win. She made clutch up and down birdies on eighteen in regulation and playoff. Jin Young didn't get the win but she also made a great birdie on eighteen for fifth place tie. A shout out to Narin An minus five for a solo fourth place. Hae Ran Ryu didn't have a good final round however a great start to her Rookie year. I expect her to contend a lot and also A Lim Kim to start putting better so she can start contending
