Four rounds this week and four more next week at two different Alabama locales. The field is not posted yet, but we know that Big Ryu, Yuna Nishimura and Minami Katsu will be there ... can't remember if Erika Hara was doing it this year or next year.

Most importantly, Mi Hyang Lee is in the field.

MHL grouped with ex-Volvik "teammate" Lindy Duncan, and not for the first time ... most interesting threesome looks like Big Ryu, Karen Chung and J. Boonchant ... Su Oh with B. Do and SC Cheng, that looks like a typical Friday 7:15 AM start at Shoprite/Acer.
Ben is there:

Based on the articles I've read in Korea, it looks like Hae Ran is the only woman who played on the KLPGA this year who will be at Q-Series. They mentioned 8 total Koreans in the field.

The top 10 -- which includes Su Oh and Bianca P. -- is pretty evenly divided between the two courses.
Karen Chung and J. Song in the top 20.
Top 45 includes Yaeeun Hong, Minami Katsu, Team Pano, Wait Wait Zhang, newly-minted pro & EMP wannabe Ashley Lau and Katherine ("Don't call me Katy!") Perry-Hamski, who is back to using her hyphenated married name this week.
CM Pro-Am stalwarts Jillian Hollis and MHL are at T88.

I'd look away, but Karen "The Body" Chung is in the hunt.

Ben's Round One collection ... the second pic is a player wearing a Fourteen Golf visor, don't know who it is ... their irons are popular, but you almost never their caps or visors. But, I'm sure I've seen this visor, probably from LONG ago ... like maybe pre-2010 ... perhaps Gloria Park, but no, I looked her up in Getty ... had the gear, but not the headwear ... this will bother me for the rest of Q-Series, until I come up with a name.

In his usual cryptic way, The Old Goofball has stumbled into the truth.
I haven't seen her play in person since 2018, I think ... a drought that will end soon.

Better day two for Hae Ran. Here's hoping she steps on the gas on the weekend; there is no reason she shouldn't be top ten in this field. She should be able to do that blindfolded. Hopefully she has gotten the hang of the greens and is ready to go!

MHL now only one shot away from the cut line ... it shouldn't be this hard ... well, Shoprite/Acer will still need her next June, no matter what happens tomorrow.
*******
I assume Yuri Onishi (T-25) is the same person on the Rolex Rankings as Yuri Jane Onishi (#1295) ... bombed out of the 2022 USWO, which is NOT recorded in her Rolex Events list ... has hardly played anywhere since The Bug sent Taiwan under the bed in 2020.
*******
I'm one of the few humans who have seen Riley Rennell play golf in person (medal round playoff at 2016 USWA).

MHL shot -1 on her Sunday first nine, but she's still one shot off the cut line.
Minami Katsu on Saturday (below) ... has it on cruise control into next week, no problem ... ditto for Yuna and Big Ryu.

Solid third round 68 for Ryu. She had a double on 15 to fall near the cut line, said, 'enough of this' and birdied her final three holes. Good luck Sunday!
