Thanks guys. Don't know why the LPGA doesn't have one up.

Shibuno hits five foot practice putts three times faster than any other pro. She has two putters out. Her caddie sneaks in lots of putts too. He's a crummy putter.

I noticed that Nana Koerstz Madsen is playing one, of my favorites. She was contending a lot after her win but has faded lately.
I hope Kotone Hori plays great so she can get on the Broadcast. Yui Kawamoto didn't make the cut, not surprised about that.
It just doesn't seem right without So Yeon Ryu. The last time she played there she was eight under after two rounds. But didn't get any better on the weekend. That caused her to lose her number one Ranking.

Seta Golf Course is not listed among the top-80 courses in Japan per the top-100 golf course website. I'm guessing this is the North course, which has hosted the tournament before (Seta GC has 54 holes in all),

My field rating for this one is a very poor 37.5%. The breakdown is 35% from the LPGA Priority List and 40% from the Rolex Rankings. This is the first time this year that thr Rolex Rankings percentage is higher than the Priority list. That is because there are a number of JLPGA stars that are playing that are not LPGA members. Only 3 of the top ten players in the world are teeing it up (Atthaya Thitikul, Minjee Lee, and Nasa Hataoka), and only 6 of the top 20. I will not list the top players that are skipping the event as it is way too long.
Other Stuff: Lydia Ko has taken over the lead in both the Player of the Year and Vare Trophy races. If she hangs on to those leads she will get 2 more Hall of Fame points. She now has 22 points and that would get her to 24. Twenty-seven is needed to get in. No player has achieved this since Inbee Park.
With both Atthaya Thitikul and Hye-Jin Choi picking up top ten finishes last week, there was very little change in the race for Rookie of the Year. Atthaya leads 1487 to 1257.
The top 5 players in the Rolex Rankings are tighter than I have ever seen it. Any of the players ranked 2 through 5 could take over the top spot with a win. I believe Attaya Thitikul would be number one this week with a top ten.
Atthaya Thitikul got her 14th top ten at the BMW, she leads in that category by one over Lydia Ko. Thitikul has finished 9th, 4th, 1st, 8th, and 6th in her last 5 tournaments.
There was not much movement in the bottom half of the Race to the CME Globe where players are fighting to stay in the top 100 to retain their 2023 playing privileges. Jasmine Suwannapura wrapped up a spot by moving from 93-84.
In the Rolex Rankings: Lydia Ko is now a stones throw away from the top spot by moving from 5-3. Andrea Lee continues to be one of the biggest movers the second half of the season with a jump from 53-35. Linn Grant moved 43-36 and Lilia Vu from 51-44. There were some big moves from some non-LPGA players as: Haruka Kawasaki moved from 98-62, Jung Min Hong 86-75, and Miyu Sato 125-98.

I read a Korean article regarding Jeeno Jat vs. Penguin Princess earlier this month ... the Google mush called JJ "scary rookie". Another scary rookie is Haruka Kawasaki, who came out of nowhere in the last two months to shake up the JLPGA, but she didn't make the field for this one ... maybe she didn't have enough points at the cut-off tournament?
Don't forget it is a four-round event now.
In case the GC broadcasters drive you up the wall, I think this stream will work on the weekend (Japan time) -
SAT 2:00 PM - 3:54 PM
SUN 1:00 PM - 2:54 PM
Speaking of TV, a Japanese article says the recently completed Mitsubishi tournament had a 10.7% rating on TV Asahi in Nagoya (Kumiko Kaneda's home town), the first double-digit rating this season.

Jin Young Ko has slipped to second.

The LPGA didn't wait for the ink to dry before they wrote an article about Jin Young Ko losing the No.1 Ranking. I wonder if the Commissioner is on her way to Japan to congratulate Atthaya Thitikul.

They rounded up only 42 LPGAers, so they added one extra JLPGAer, Ting Ting ... she beat out Haruka Kawasaki by one-tenth of one point.
The new Number One throwing shade on that "dress for success" philosophy.

Not much news in the caddie list ... Na Rin An will have Ryota Fukui on her bag, who I assume is a local looper ... Ting Ting will have Mini Ting Ting pushing her bag.
******
Minami Katsu on Tuesday ... hoping she wins so she doesn't need to play the LPGA Q-series. Otherwise, she'll be in Alabama ... more than one article says her mom Kumi will be on her bag and is currently "in training" for that task. Katsu is also worried about the airlines and ordered a duplicate set of sticks in case her gamers get lost in transit.

The EMP and the Honorary EMP must have some pull with the tournament schedulers.
