They're not in contention, but Jtibs, Dr. Noh and the EMP are likely to be the most fashionable group on the course.

Yaeeun Hong missed her first two fairways of the week, Only had two birdies however only her second bogey of the week. Hopefully she will have a good round and stay in top ten.
A shout out to Hye Jin Choi and Hyo Joo Kim who put themselves in contention with sixty sixes.
So Yeon Ryu had a good front nine with three birdies, but another bad back nine with three bogeys one birdie. Maybe she and Jeongeun Lee should move out of Texas to somewhere that's not so windy to practice.

A great effort by Hye Jin and Hyo Joo on day three! These are the two I would like to see up there, since they have been playing the best of the top Sisters lately. I would love to see Hye Jin finally get a win, and in Korea to boot, or for Hyo Joo to win in front of her homies, but Thitikul hasn't made a single major mistake in three days other than a few missed short putts, so unless one of those gals goes low, it's probably going to be her again. Sigh.
The Hye Jin content was great, though. What did they call her? "World Queen" or something? That's a great nickname for her. And it's been a gas watching Min Sol Kim. I highly doubt she can win (it might not be good if she did, anyways), but she certainly is making an impression. Hope to see her in some big am events in the coming year.
As usual, A Lim has been great. I hope she can improve just a little, so she gets more screen time in the States.
Sisters hwaiting!

By the way, NYC making an ace and winning a BMW in her final tournament is one of the most boss ways I can imagine ending your career. Congrats, Na Yeon!

Hye Jin Choi gave it the old college try but Lydia Ko went crazy on the back nine. Typical of the Korean golfers this year even if they play great someone find a way to play out of their mind. Ok we can turn off the TV and see the KLPGA finish.
Good news Yaeeun Hong got a top ten tie.
Edit: Lydia Ko actually beat out Andrea Lee

Good news Yaeeun Hong got a top ten tie. Unfortunately, she's got no CME points because she's an invited player to a no-cut event.

The "old" Ko played like the old Ko today. Masterful performance.
Atthaya had a bit of a choke job. Finish in the top four and she's the new no. 1. Couldn't get it done.
Thanks for the memories NYC!

Samaan forced the LPGA out of Rancho Mirage. Korea was the logical destination. She chose Houston. She's a poor man's Bivens.

The commentators noted that there have been more first-time winners this year than any since 1995. So, that means one of two things:
1. There are more great new players on tour now than ever before (unlikely) or, 2. Like I said, when you dumb down the courses, you make it easier for more different people to win and, as a result, weaken your star system.
Do you think the LPGA will ever get it that, although they might get more American winners this way, their chosen stars are going to win less often?

Only 2 of the 10 first time winners this year were Americans. And 0 of the new winners have been Koreans. Anyways, the numbers in the end should eventually tend to skew to the Americans, since there are more of them than any other country. Getting Euro wins helps them justify the Solheim Cup, so that's a win for them. And in the meantime, they have reduced the Korean dominance.
