www.lpga.com/news/2015-new-title-for-japanMizuno is out and TOTO (world's largest maker of bathroom fixtures and fittings) is in...does this mean Stacy Lewis stays home? Probably not...and purse increased by $200K to $1.5M.

What about The Rocket skipping the event.
I'm surprised Whan and the JLPGA can't find a sponsor to up the purse to well over $2.5M to attract the top players.

I don't think the Japan LPGA is interested in doing that - it is not like they need the US LPGA? If it wasn't for the 8 or so foreign events then we would be talking about how weak the US LPGA schedule is. The JLPGA is a very successful tour were all there events are on national TV and not on cable and it's leading players are well known to the general public - the only player we can say about that in America is Michelle Wie. Let's be honest about this - Inbee Park or Stacy Lewis don't cut it. |

Is there a reason that the tournament is not televised. Not sure as to why that is the case, i know that in Japan and looking at last years event over 12 hours of coverage was provided over the three days. I know in the past it has been or at least in Australia it was from what i recall. |
