After some searching....some history for those who forget, like me, and for new members who might be curious.
Club700 was finished in 1992. The owners wanted to limit the membership to 700 thus the strange name.
In 2000, the HiteJinro Championship began in earnest. They might have sponsored something previously. By 2002, HiteJinro didn't want to bounce around the country anymore and so HiteJinro bought Club700 and renamed it Blue Heron Golf Club in honor of some birds that nested nearby. Blue Heron has hosted this very championship since 2002. (Minus the covid fiasco).
In 2004, the course was modified for more risk and reward supposedly and still is the same today.
No other Championship has been more stable in KLPGA history, hosted at the same course and sponsored by the same sponsor.
KB Financial Group has sponsored events for longer I think but KB put their name on numerous events seemingly helping the KLPGA tour in general perhaps as the official bank of the tour, not in the same way Hite-Jinro has with this event.
Of all the events on the KLPGA tour, this one definitely deserves a number of documentaries made about it.
Tickets are free this week, if you can find a way to get there.
This place began hosting this event the year BEFORE Yewon was born. ^^

If you want to go to Blue Heron Golf Club by public transport, you're going to have an adventure.
First you need to get to Icheon by subway (very long) or go to an express bus terminal and get an express bus to Icheon express bus terminal.
After that you need to find a bus going north out of town since the course is about 15km north of town(maybe find a taxi). Now the real adventure. How do you get back to town afterwards? I can imagine standing next to a bus stop sign for an hour waiting for a bus back to town.

I posted the above thread six years ago re the 2009 tournament ... unfortunately, the round four videos disappeared into the permanent Internet void.

SBS Golf (KST) Round 1 1000 ~ 1700 Round 2 1000 ~ 1700 Round 3 1100 ~ 1700 Round 4 1000 ~ 1600
This is what I found and I think this may be the broadcast schedule for all majors. Typically, they start broadcasting at 11am. I don't know why Saturday's third round begins an hour later.

I don't know about Korea, but if there is a rail stop near a golf course in the NJ/NY/PA area, then it's a total fluke. One exception is Merion GC which has a light rail stop about 500 feet from its front entrance ... that will be quite convenient for the 2034 USWO ... but I'd still have to do a decent amount driving just to be in that metro area. There appears to be NO practical rail options next year for Baltusrol and Liberty National ... I've never been to these places before ... and people who go to these places are usually NOT on buses for any reason!!! Trump/Ferry Point charges a city resident $162 to play 18 holes (Monday thru Thursday rate) ... and Google Maps can't find any bus stops near the place ... gee I wonder why? I think Keven has a story of taking a bus to the ANA in the desert LONG ago. In case you don't know my 2013 USWO at Sebonack story, the USGA was offering a free LIRR round-trip ticket if you bought a grounds pass, so I bit. In order to be guaranteed a full Friday of golf, I got on my first train Thursday night and stepped off my last one Saturday morning.

They had a family day competition:
Big Ryu, Hong Kong, Jin Seon Han and Ji Won Hong
The winners ... I don't know about the other daddies, but this one was an ex-touring pro.

Exactly, so I don't see that as a very fair competition. LOL Hyun-Kyung dad seems way too skilled.
Yewon's family is not a golfing family at all, I heard. Her dad recommended she try golf when she was approximately 8. I guess she stuck with it. 8yo is the first year of elementary school. 🤣

I just saw why Hee Jeong Lim isn't making putts. She hit a really tentative twelve foot par putt on number one. She really need to get her confidence back on the green. It's only the first hole but a stroke lost.
Edit: They are playing preferred lies in a Major Championship. What has happened to Ladies Championship golf.
The young golfer is having a tough start, hit the fairway on par five laid up in the fairway bunker.' Made her second bogey, there is something else besides putting going on. She will fix it maybe not today but she will.
