Hee Jeong Lim played a really good round of golf. She was great tee to green had four birdies but just missed four or five more.
Yewon Lee started with birdies on two three and four holes. She had the one bladed shot on par three fourteen in the bush but made a good bogey, She also had a really good round with five birdies and some that just missed also.
I wonder if Hyo Joo Kim is playing with an injury. She hit shots that I never seen her hit before.
Naver News say that Hyo Joo Kim was fighting a sore throat. They didn't mention any other injury.
That may be the "official" report, but she was holding her neck last weekend and I don't think she should be playing.
I know what time she's teeing off today. I said Sunday. ^^
I didn't notice that you said Sunday because that wont be known until after Saturday's round. Now that you mentioned it the Translation may have been wrong and meant an injury. I saw her wencing after each shot last week
Never mind HoJo ... what about The Hulk?!!!! It's now a 5-month train wreck and debris is still spilling over the cliff ... is she headed to Yani Territory?! In case you forgot, she was probably the best iron player on this tour not that long ago. The Big Question on Friday is whether or not she'll be required to have her pic taken with Nguyen and Wijaya after teeing off at #10 ... does she have a mask in her bag?
I totally agree with you about Ha Na being one of the greatest iron players. Looked like the Korean version of Karrie Webb who was a Maestro with an iron in her hand. Not forgetting Jin Young Ko is in that group also.
I been waiting for someone to say that she is injured.
Look at the stats ... every drive is a bunt for Yeah, Lee Won ... but she's tied for second ... she could be a Korean Furue IF she tightens her short irons/wedges even more ... she singes the hole with 20-footers frequently, but they are still missed putts.
Every time they come back from commercials, they show that empty bleacher with the Hana Bank tower in the immediate background. They should copy what KPMG did at Westchester in 2015 ... make all your employees show up at the golf course in blue tee shirts and follow Stacy Lewis. Maybe this kind of treatment would wake up Major League Minjee.
Ok, time for my 90-minute snooze before the JWO broadcast ... still a good old-fashioned bloodbath with eight players under par ... the cut will probably go to +6 or worse.
The closest Yewon Lee ever got to winning was at the Match Play; she led the final most of the day before being passed on the final hole. Interestingly, the person who beat her was this week's leader Jung Min Hong. Would be verrrry interesting if Yewon were to issue a little payback on Hong this week. This would be a much bigger win than the Match Play.
