September 29,30,Oct 1,2 Bears Best Cheongla. US(out) Europe(In) Incheon, not far from the airport.
KLPGA Lotte Open was here already this year. I have no idea if the rough will be changed. The KLPGA did not play on the Europe nine, but I'm sure they will be very familiar with the front nine.
Some International players and amateurs I've never heard of will be part of a somewhat limited field. 108. Full KLPGA opens usually have 120, right?

This event does not have a stable location. It seems Hana just wants it near Incheon Airport.
I will be there Sunday. Since it's so close to home, I should be able to get there before anyone tees off.

I really did see the name of Princess Mary Superal in the field list a few days ago ... now it's gone, why? She really needs to get serious and stop slumming the Pineapple Tour ... I think she's good enough to make the cut in any KLPGA event.

Oh, I understand. This is the third event since it was once co-sanctioned by the LPGA. Got it. The LPGA and this event split after the 2018 event.

LPGA-KLPGA sanctioned event went to Busan in 2019. They played this at Sky72 (Ocean course) for many years, and had different names - most recently LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship. I attended in 2017 and 2018.

Three remember Tournaments to me for different reason. In Gee Chun winning her only non Major Tournament on LPGA. Jin Young Ko holding off Sung Hyun Park and In Gee Chun to qualify for the LPGA. A win that maybe should not have happened was Kyu Jung Baek winning to qualify for the LPGA. As it turned out she wasn't ready and it I believe is why her game went bad.

Q Baek beat In Gee in a playoff that year. In Gee lost then, but had a fantastic year the following season, winning her only Player of the Year award. She had several close calls before finally getting the trophy in 2018.

Because when Kyu Baek missed the birdie the first time she really took it hard. It was a tough pin placement near the water . I think In Gee tried to get on the right side below the hole and bounced into the water

The KLPGA did not play on the Europe nine, but I'm sure they will be very familiar with the front nine.
Okay, that explains the unfamiliar first two holes ... the par-3 1st with a small shantytown behind the green ... the par-4 2nd where you aim your drive over water at a collection of LEGO blocks cobbled together by the town drunk from 'Gunsmoke'. This year's Lotte Championship was bad enough, but now they found another nine new holes to assault my optic nerve. If you accept the premise that the playing surface of a golf course is inseparable from the landscapes and structures within it and around it, then this place is a disaster. Oh, and tell Yeah, Lee Won that Lancaster CC will be an unbelievable sight in 2024.
