I think this year's LPGA roster gets along well. Gal & Hee Young are good friends. I have seen some good gestures. Pressel sent a housing warming gift for Ilhee. Creamer bought NYC a hat. Girls leaving chocolate in each other's lockers at tournaments.
I think the media tries to stir some shit up. It's unnecessary. There's a friendly rivalry between South Korea and USA. It's hella entertaining. It give the LPGA Tour so much credibility. Every week is a so called "Olympic competition."
I think Stacy Lewis is a great leader for the tour. She helps keep sponsors. She persuades them that this tour is worth their investments. I really like Mo Martin. She said in a press conference last year that the diversity on the LPGA is what makes the tour special. Any time a player talks about their appreciation for LPGA's diversity, I take notice.
Media needs to appreciate LPGA's diversity like many of the players do.

Is this the Stacy Lewis you are referring to?....LMAO 1) What you don't like when GC fawns over MW or gives her the headlines when she's T56 when in fact a Korean is leading the tournament. |

If they were to dominate they would have done it by now....just like the Korean female pros. IMO....the LPGA is not as deep as the PGA because few girls, comparatively speaking get really serious about golf......I expect the US to dominate the PGA for quite some time as more boys are interested in golf vs. girls. The # of qualifiers to the USO vs. the USWO says it all. If there were to be one or two future Korean male dominators.....it would likely be a future Merican born Korean. |
