Actually, it looks like A Lim is out of it; those ties were confusing. She only has a tie and no wins, so even if she wins, she only gets to 1.5. Andrea Lee is already at 1.5, but if she loses and Meadow wins, Meadow goes to 2 points (she already had two ties). So no matter what, A Lim is done. Too bad, she needed that win yesterday.

Eun-Hee Ji pulls out a miracle by birdieing her last two holes to tie her last match and advance.
Dryburgh is the only one in the 16 to advance with a loss on her ledger.

Round 3
It was ridiculous how little they showed Hye-Jin today! But she saved the best for last, dunking a great, twisty birdie to win her match, going 3-0 to advance to match play.
She'll play Eun Hee Ji. With three holes to play, it looked like she was going to lose to Tan. But she really created some magic on the final two holes. First she drilled a fifteen foot birdie putt on 17, after which Tan missed her slightly shorter putt. On 18, she really mucked it up: into the bunker off the tee, then into the rough. Her third shot was great, but still left her a 20-foot par save. But she made it, tied the match and advanced over Tan.
Jenny Shin tied Haeji Kang and she, too, advanced. Andrea Lee and Annie Park also went forward, but Minjee Lee, who looked so good opposite Youngin Chun, lost and didn't advance.
Hyo Joo won, but she needed Schmelzel to win and she got creamed. I have no idea what was wrong with Six. Man, she was TERRIBLE the past few days. She was +4 today, but +7 in 14 yesterday. I hope she isn't injured.
Good luck in the match play! Sisters hwaiting!!

HappyFan said all that I was thinking of saying. However I like to give a shout out to Youngin Chun for her win today. She won the last two holes to beat Altomare two up. She also took Caroline Masson to seventeen before losing two and one yesterday.
Kudos.. to former USC Trojan player and LPGA Rookie Allison Corpuz for advancing.
So Yeon got to hole sixteen two up, but lost the last three holes. Two were birdies but the other was a bogey on a par five. I wish she could have got the win to give her confidence next week. Not to contend because her game isn't there yet, but at least a top twenty.

Man, Eun Hee! Did you have to beat Hye Jin. Grrr... It was tied after 15, then Choi didn't take advantage of her length on 16 and Ji won that hole. It wasn't a bad round for Choi, Ji was just better. She now faces Sagstrom. My worry, and the main reason I wanted to see Choi triumph, is that Ji is going to run out of gas. She's the oldest Sister in the field, and I'm not sure she can play two high level rounds in the same day anymore. Guess we'll see...
Shin beat Annie Park easily and will face Lilia Vu (who?) next; Vu took down Corpuz. Jenny is not a spring chicken, either, but I hope she can keep riding the Vegas hometown vibes to another win!
Andrea Lee also got through and will face Gemma Dryburgh, who took 22 holes to eliminate Moriya.
Sisters hwaiting!!

Eun-hee could've showered, taken a nap, eaten a full-course meal, had dessert, drank an aperitif and caught up on an episode of her favorite Kdrama before the other pairings finished on the course. What a strange turn of events. We'll see if today's marathon play the other three had to go through will work in her favor tomorrow.

Quarters Eun Hee wiped the floor with Sagstrom, who had been undefeated before. Didn't see that coming! Andrea Lee also advanced after a long battle with Dryburgh and will be playing Eun Hee next. Alas, Jenny ran out of luck. She managed to win the last two holes to force a playoff with Vu but lost a few holes later. Sisters hwaiting!!

This is shaping up into a much better finish than last year ... however, if Ji loses in semis, will she claim old age and infirmity and drop out of the 3rd place match?
*********
The rookie race is tightening up ... Atthaya got dusted, while Cyborg will gain ground and can Furue pass everyone with two wins today?

If Ji wins, she becomes the oldest Korean to ever win on the LPGA -- by more than three years! (She's 36). I'm still worried that she might run out of gas, but at least she wrapped things up early yesterday and so got more rest than everyone else. Hwaiting!

Eun-Hee Ji against Ayaka Furue. I really didn't start watching until Eun-Hee had all but wrapped up her Match. It will be the veteran golfer against the up and coming, if not already a Star. Ayaka is a very impressive Golfer

Good ol' Eun-Hee Ji! She's the player who made the only ace I witnessed live. This was one of the years they played the Portland tournament at Pumpkin Ridge.
