Anyone have a scouting report on the Monday qualifier site, Wood Ranch GC? I had to look it up on Google Maps ... nowhere near LA ... about half-way between Thousand Oaks and Kraproom Moorpark.
I also looked up DIO Implant ... the HQ is in Busan ... dental implants, that is ... NOT the other kind one would associate with Korean medicine.
Syd Michaels, Youngin Chun and Gina Kim were given invites.

I've played Wood Ranch a few times. It's a cow pasture in search of a nuclear bomb. I lived 1/2 mile from the clubhouse for 17 years. It spit rain the whole time I watched Se Ri bomb out at the 2000 LA Women's Championship. Dame Laura flat out dominated but Super Peanut was the crowd favorite. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is 1 1/2 miles away. Muni's practice area at her folks' place is right by the Reagan Library. No matter what, Wood Ranch will identify the best player.

MHL is getting better at the Monday qualifier ritual ... she finished tied for First Washout today. Strange ... it's a bit late in the game for the next two Monday qualifiers say "To be confirmed" for the locations.

Man, been dragging my feet about making an appointment for an implant. Maybe I should ask the dentist if they use them fancy Korean DIO ones...
Googling, I find: "What is a DIO implant? This is a temporary denture made with DIO Probo to restore mastication function of edentulous patients and stabilize occlusal parameters before the Dionavi procedure."
But then, I'm not endentulous, am I? And what's the Dionavi procedure?! (can you understand why I'm procrastinating on this, ahaha) I love that all these Korean companies are throwing money at the LPGA, but surely these tournament names can't get much worse, can they? And what's the weirdest LPGA tournament name ever, I wonder?

All I know is, I'm definitely fast forwarding through their commercials this weekend!

My field rating this week is a solid 71% ( down from 74% last year). Nelly Korda's continued absence has dropped my field rating a couple of points each week. My breakdown is 79% LPGA Priority List & 63% Rolex Rankings.
Top players skipping the event this week include: Nelly Korda Lydia Ko Lexi Thompson Jeongeun Lee6 Hyo-Joo Kim Anna Nordqvist Austin Ernst A Lim Kim Mel Reid
There was some important moves in this week rolex Rankings. The most important was Hyo-Joo Kim jumping into the top ten moving from 13-6. Other nice moves include: Hinako Shibuno 37-31 Somi Lee 49-43 Hye Jin Choi 53-45 Ryann O'Toole 56-49
We had 3 players jump into the top 100 this week and into my field rating: Nozomi Uetake 108-80 Ashleigh Buhai 101-86 Ji Young Park 129-92
The 3 players that fell out of the top 100 are: Jasmine Suwannapura 96-101 Jung Min Hong 99-102 Ji Young Kim 100-103
Celine Boutier became the first player to register 5 top ten finishes. South Korea becomes the second country to have 2 wins this year, joining the USA.

Shibuno Fever traversing the pedestrian tunnel ... did they decorate it like this during past LA Opens?
NASA and Johnston in the shadow of the El Royale Apartments
What is it?
Furue with Schubert and JM Green
Where is the water? It's Chinatown.

That's a fan account - but the guy (?) does seem to know a lot about her. And, yes, the IG translate function can be really bad sometimes - often complete jibberish!

Caddie list is out ... Yuka Saso is getting the hang of being an LPGAer ... dumped Vern Tess again, maybe for good this time ... and I guess his replacement is coming out of retirement, Thomas Frank (aka Motion), who was last with Kris Tamulis. Tess got picked up on the rebound by Morgane Metraux. With HoJo taking the week off, Les Luark was loaned out to Ariya 51 ... meaning Lionel Matichuk is back on Skid Row. Inky the semi-retiree kicked Kylie Pratt to the curb after two starts and picked up Mannika's ex-loop Terry McNamara.
