This is great, tks - wondered why so many Koreans were living or moving to Dallas. Didn't know about 6ix's food page either.

athletes live in texas as there is no state income tax... Bingo. Any accountant worth anything would advise moving out of a state income tax state.

Florida has no income tax, but with one disadvantage:
Number of H-Mart locations:
Texas: 6 Florida: 0
The article says Ryu left Texas ... where to? Il Hee Lee was in Frisco, TX before it became fashionable ... later moved to LA. I wonder if Ji Young Oh is still in Georgia (which has five H-Marts).

It does make a lot of sense to live in Dallas. It probably gets a little cold in the winter but right when a pro is resting up or seeing family over the holidays. TX is a little dumpy and disaster prone but if you’re going between restaurants, your golf club and the airport it’s perfect.

I grew up in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I remember some baseball players lived there even if their team was far away because of the cost of living and taxes.
