I like Minjee just fine, it's just that there are always people I want to see win more, and she seems to get her biggest wins at the expense of my faves (like Six). She's a nice-looking woman who dresses sharply, seems cool and has a fantastic game. And the story with her brother is really fun, too. I also like Aussie accents. So she has a lot of pluses. But yeah, I'm definitely team Jin Young and Team Hye-Jin this week. Hwaiting!

I like watching on SBS even thou it's in Korean language, actually a good thing. No interviews and the constant chatter between the Golf Channel Broadcasters. Two things I think Pro golfers should do better, club selection and lag putting. Sometimes they come up two or three clubs short from the middle of the fairway.
Also the Golfers at eight under aren't out of it yet.
Hye Jin Choi is in third place yet they are showing anybody else but her. That's why I'm getting tired of the LPGA. Actually the Golf Channel!!!!
Are they waiting for Hye Jin to three putt again before they show her.
OK..Minjee can start counting off holes unless she makes a big number.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CecONTvBy_d Great solo third place finish for Hye Jin Choi. That should move her closer to the top for Rookie of The Year. Jin Young Ko when she wasn't at her best still got a solo fourth. Kudos to Lydia Ko for her solo fifth.

Eun-Hee Ji plus seven and So Mi Lee plus eleven today couldn't keep the good rounds going.

What an impressive performance, this has been huge in Australia news wise and after the retirement of Ash Barty in Tennis she will definitely be the most high profile female Athlete here.
Would be nice to see her get a few more Australian sponsorships to back up this performance but she doesn't care about that. She's an introvert and I'm just fine with that.
She reminds me very much of Karrie Webb and would rather let the golf do the talking than all the hoopla that tends to happen with American sport stars..
We have an award each year voted by the community etc " Australian of the Year" I can see her being nominated for 2023.
On a side note, I know Jan Stephenson who was rightly criticized a few years ago for her anti Asian remarks was on Australian radio this morning saying some really nice things about Minjee.

Yuna Takagi ... for reasons unknown, she has no membership profile on the JLPGA website, but has played that tour many times.
*******
The LPGA website did not publish a caddie list this week, but I can see below that Georgia Hall did not have Prince Harry on her bag again ... did he get kicked to the curb for good?
*********
From Friday, Big Ryu finished with the same score as Little Ryu
**********
Nice silhouette of Martin Kaymer on that scoreboard.
*******
Throbbin' Robynn on Friday ... the Southcape brand isn't much into logos ... or the airport lost her luggage.

Round 4
Congrats to Minjee, she thoroughly deserved that win. It was kind of a dull finale, since it seemed clear all day that no one was going to be able to shoot a low enough round to catch her. They finally set the course up as tough as they should have from the beginning, but since Minjee had a huge advantage going into Sunday, she could play for par or +1 or +2, knowing that none of those stars 6/7 shots back was going to shoot a 65/64 today. I just wish this had been the setup the other three days.
The best score of the day was produced by Lee6, who shot a 69. Hye Jin shot a 70 and was the only other person under par (she should have had a 69, too, but missed a par save on the last). Several other Sisters made good. Jin Young was not her A game best to be sure, but she fought hard all day and managed an even par, good for 4th and ~$485,000. Hye Jin looked like she might challenge Lee, but she just couldn't find the birdies, and she wound up third, earning over $685,000.
Sei Young had a wild round, with a double, a bunch of birdies, and an up and down experience. She finished 14th. In Gee had a great start to her day, nearly holing out on 2 after a birdie on 1. She moved to t-15th. Eun Hee also managed that; a great feat after her 7-round marathon last week to get into this field.
Congrats to Minjee, and great job to Hye-Jin and Jin Young especially. Hwaiting!

Hye-jin definitely should have made par on 18 - such a bad lag putt left her so short she didn't have much of a chance to make the par. Putting seemed to be her downfall all weekend - although seemed tough for most players; greens were tough. Was kinda hoping she would at least tie Harigae for second, but solo third is great. She made up a lot of ground on Jeeno in the ROY race this week - now only 24 points behind!
I do really like Minjee - and her game is back to where it was several years ago, when she seemed to be in contention every week. Maybe better, actually, since she's gained yards off the tee. Wouldn't be surprised to see her win another one or two this year.

Hye-Jin's now third on the money list, has the most top tens on tour (6), leads in GIR (76.2%), and just had a top three in a Major, but is still behind Thitikul in ROY (barely). Her Rolex ranking has risen to 31st. It is painful how slowly her ranking is rising; she has to be a top ten in the world right now in terms of her ability, but she's still shedding poor events from 2020 and 2021 that are weighing her down.
Well, there is still a lot of golf to play, I'm really hoping we see a win come soon!

Karrie Webb was one of my favorite golfers, especially with her ball striking ability. When she had a wedge in her hand it was, as they say "poetry in motion" As far as Jan Stephenson is concerned, she may have said nice things about Minjee, But it doesn't change what she said about Asians ruining the Tour. I bet she still think the same way, as they say "a tiger can't change their stripes."

You're doing a heckuva job, Mikey ... heckuva job.
Is it too late to fill the last sponsor invite spot at Shoprite/Acer?
Pop-off popped-out on Friday
During the Friday morning stream, they represented Danielle Kang as a silhouette as well on the scoreboards. They had no photo of Danielle Kang?! I like the human-interest story of Mina Harigae. Glad she kept her second place finish. Minjee is the real deal.
