Round 1 Nice opening round for the Sisters! Jin Young managed to hit three more greens before a chunky tee shot on the 4th went into the water to end her green streak record at 66. The most annoying part was that one slow-sounding commentator, who kept complaining about having to keep track of the record: 'maybe she'll miss one soon to give us a break'. Gee, sorry you had to cover a world-class all-time record, lady. Now you can go back to celebrating Euro mediocrities as you obviously prefer... All in all a good day, though. Other than her two botched par 3's, Jin Young was solid. Her final putt dropped for a 69, just two back. Shhh, don't mention it to anyone, but I think that was her 12th straight round in the 60s. If she makes 60s until the final day, she would break the all-time record she co-holds. Let's not mention it and distract her (or give that poor commentator something else to be forced to discuss). Inbee was also great today, although she made a bogey on the last with a poor approach. They didn't show A Lim at all, but she is at 4 under and will be in the final group with Inbee and Patty T tomorrow. She benefited from a hole-out from a bunker. In Gee and Lee6 are at 2 under, just off the radar. Hyo Joo and So Yeon at even par are still only five back. Hwaiting ! Inbee Jin Young Hot Six Sei Young Sung Hyun

Good to see many of the players back in action such as Jin Young Ko who started off wobbly but came back nicely.
It's amazing that it has been four years already since Michelle Wie won this tournament but ONLY eight years since Paula Creamer won it. It seems like over a decade since Paula has made any noise on tour.
Glad to see Angel Yin get a good round in. She has been playing something awful these past few months.
I wonder how often broadcasters use foley sounds for golf shots? On a par 3, Yuka Saso's tee shot was heard with the real life *ping* followed a split second later by the typical *clack* ones hears on TV.

Inbee Jin Young Hot Six Sei Young Sung Hyun I couldn't agree more about these announcers. Could they sound any less excited about doing their job? After a month off I was looking forward to watching this tournament, and they put me to sleep. Also, this is a standard 36 +36 = 72 par golf course. But everytime a player putted out and they showed their scorecard on the bottom of the screen, they showed it as a par 73. You would think after 5 hours of coverage they would have corrected this.

Usually I don't mind when these folks cover the Asian swing events, because they seem a little less overtly biased than Golf Channel. But if I had to hear one more time about Hannah Green winning two piddly squat events in Australia (with next to no world class golfers, I'm sure), I was gonna retch. Meanwhile, it's all 'do we have to keep count?' whenever Jin Young appeared early. They should be thrilled that a Thursday round has real interesting stakes for a change, but they sounded like zombies. I'd think it was jet lag, but aren't they from the same time zone more or less? PS - Twitter is complaining about lack of Henderson again. I was more baffled that they didn't show A Lim at all. I think they are basically going to focus on the final four groups tomorrow come what may, which doesn't bode well for Bible Buddies Brooke and Jin Young, who are playing together, but in the fifth-to-last group.

Jin Young Ko is such an impressive and great golfer. Her round could have gone anywhere after the early hiccups. But she refocused and finished strong.
A Lim had a clean front nine with four birdies. But she could only manage an all pars back nine. Her game is fit for the LPGA and I think that she will only get better.
So Yeon Ryu only missed two greens, but had thirty four putts. Still a decent start for her first round of the year.
Jeongeun Lee6 had a mixed bag, four birdies and two bogeys.

If Brooke ever tried to have some style she might make the broadcast more. Can’t shop at National Tire for the LPGA.

This Sentosa is the best tournament by far to watch on a cell phone. Happy Fan please don't jinx the winner.

The tv production is in slow motion. They show nothing except the perfect body of A Lim Kim. These Aussies must have a beef with Disney characters.
