I had the day off yesterday so I was mighty disappointed to watch mostly rain delay.
Much better viewing today. Na Yeon was outright jaunty after her round and why not? Finishing birdie/eagle will do that.
Also nice to see Jee Young Lee score her eagle on 14. Best result so far this year is T25th. She hasn't had a top ten since March 2013.

Big bummer about Inbee. It's not like she played terribly, just that she needed to make some birdies and had just enough near misses that she missed the cut. -1 total is not award winning, but not so awful. Ah well, save it up for the Us Women's Open!!! NYC's final two holes today were epic! Iron to 6 inches on 17, great approach on 18, eagle from 30 feet. Nice! Great to see MJ Hur right up there, too! But my cheer-out-loud moment of the day came when Q Baek shot a 64 (!) to move to 12th. YAY! Let's get that first top ten of the season tomorrow, Kyu Jung!!!! Also great that So Yeon rallied and shot a 65, and Minjee Lee was lighting it up early on as well! Go Sisters!!! Hwaiting!!!

Inbee should have scored better with her eyes closed.

Since IBP MC’d, If Lydia shoots 59 and wins, will she regain the #1 ranking? I don’t know the math behind the rankings (and I don’t want to know). For those of you who were bugged because Lydia made the game look too easy, well, your worries are over. At T-40 and ten shots back, she’s just like everyone else...and who’s to blame for this? Eventually, Tina will drop a 10-ton weight on Jason the Looper, but we know he’s not the real reason. The more logical reason is identified by Brandel C. in the video below (14:47 thru 16:45)...he doesn’t mention David Leadbetter by name, but it’s clear that he threw DL under the bus, then backed the bus over him a few times: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfeiW2LQPvQHis comments on Brooke Henderson (7:50 thru 9:25) are along the same lines...keep the swing gurus away from her. This business about the shut clubface needs to be explored further...recently, I experimented with this method in the park and hit some straight 8-irons. More important, it seemed to eliminate my Big Miss (a high pull and the occasional pull hook).

The TGC's fashion reporter, Tom Abbott, is at it again. This week's subject is Min Lee. Hey Tom you can do fashion reports leave TGC and go to E! and work on The Fashion Police and On The Red Carpet. Ya gotta like Abbott cause he's almost guaranteed to say something stupis to a usual mundane broadcast.

Congrats to NYC. I was going to apologize because I thought Pouty Face was going to runaway with this on the back 9 because I was too arrogant and changed my Kerr avatar that was working quite well to the lovely Sharon. But Holy Moly....I need not. Lewis has only the Yank racism to blame for not knowing what was going on behind her. On the "loudest hole on the LPGA tour" (that's laughable)....there was dead silence when an Asian hits a shot to a foot on 17....LMAO. I hope Lewis's agent takes her smartphone from her tonight so she does tweet...."Can't believe I lost to a LUCKY hole out on 16 by a competitor....these Asians keep on stealing wins from me." Hopefully Stacy shows some respect and does trash her bedroom tonight in her player's housing. Lots of frowns...two best friends playing in the same group...Bam Bam & Lewis...can also be the moodiest pros when things don't go their way on the course. I was shocked by the lousy play be Anna N....I thought she'd be the one contending for a win. Gaby Lopez is quite cute.....we need a Mexican to root for in Lorena's absence. No other Koreans to celebrate NYC's win except for Jenny Shin? ?

Great finish and win by Na Yeon. It didn't look to good for a while.
However an eagle followed by a birdie can really get you on your way.
Great final round by Lydia. As I noted before she is so talented, that she can over come Ledbetter's bad teaching.
Kudos to Mika. She is beginning to improve her position, while Ai is still having problems.
Sei Young is still showing that she can step up on the weekend.
Minjee also turned in a good performance.

WTF....NYC's loop has never caddied before? Jason better hope The Dragon Lady doesn't watch that interview....otherwise Tina will be just hiring a parking lot caddie on Monday and negotiate a fixed weekly wage (no % of earnings) because she needs to pay off the mortgage of a home she's looking for in the US. Or Tina will search out a member to volunteer (no payout) when the LPGa plays at a private course.....(2012 & 2013 CWO and 2014 @ The Swinging Skirts). I guess Jennifer Song wasn't available to loop on Sunday....considering she was trunk slamming. As I've said before.....a monkey could loop for Lydia and she could win....bananas are only $0.79/lb.

Hmmmm.....looks like NYC is getting the shaft from the LPGA again...she's in a non-feature group playing with Icher and Ersnt....WTF....more Yank racism???....lol. I guess Whan is punishing NYC for asking J. Song to loop for her....lol. I guess she will be getting better pairings in the near future. The LPGA has always shunned NYC...too many times she was in a non-premier pairing Thurs/Fri even though she was in the top 10 Rolex rankings. And don't expect much from Randell Mell on NYC's win.....I'm sure GC's Sunday Walmart headline will be: "Wie struggles with her fake injury and missed the cut and Cheyenne Woods had a nice Nike skort on Sunday to finish T64."

Momentum swings always fascinate me when I watch basketball. But, dang!, this was a full-blown tornado of a swing. Stacy had a great chance for birdie on 17 with the Razorback fans going wild. I was mentally handing Lewis the trophy even though she had only a one-shot lead. Na Yeon was having a desultory round, one birdie and two bogeys through 15. Then from out of nowhere, NYC goes Broadway on 16. Then she almost aces 17.
Golf is a funny game.

More important, it seemed to eliminate my Big Miss (a high pull and the occasional pull hook). 1) Lead Poisoning 2) A closed club face at the top of the swing works for Am's because 90% of Am's slice. A good tip I read on 4gea to ensure a shut club face for righted handed golfer was to ensure the back of your left hand faces the heavens on the top of your back swing.

Na Yeon Choi
Well, that sure turned around quickly! Stacy Lewis, holding the 2015 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship lead at 13-under had just landed her 2nd shot on the par 3 17th to short birdie putt distance. The 2-time and defending NW Arkansas champion, not to mention graduate of the University of Arkansas, had the crowd ecstatic, raising the pig sooey Razorback chant as Stacy approached the 17th green. Momentum and fate seemed to be with the 2014 LPGA Triple Crown (POY, Money List, Scoring) winner. And then this happened.
Na Yeon Choi
And just like that Na Yeon Choi had leapfrogged Stacy into first place. Stacy still had her birdie putt to tie. She missed. A few minutes later, NYC would nearly hole out from the fairway on successive holes when she stuck her approach on 17. She did convert the easy birdie putt. In what seemed like the blink of an eye, Stacy went from up by 1 shot with a birdie putt for a 2 shot lead on 17 to trailing by 2 as she played 18. I’m not sure if she knew what she needed on the final hole. I can’t imagine that she did because instead of being aggressive, she laid up. Evenutally she would fall out of 2nd place with a bogey on 18. I am a big fan of Na Yeon Choi so I am happy that she won. However, I also like Stacy. More than that, I can’t remember a player that I’ve seen on the LPGA who gets close so often only to come up short the way Stacy does. To be sure, she’s won her fair share of events, but she could absolutely own the tour if she converted more of her opportunities. Instead, on this day Choi claims her 2nd LPGA title of 2015 and 9th overall. Speaking of 9th victories, it’s the 9th win for South Korea on the LPGA already this year. There were 10 Seoul Sister wins all of the 2014 LPGA season. Choi also matches the scoring record to par of 15-under, first set by Seon Hwa Lee in 2008. Na Yeon earned the aggregate scoring record of 198. All of this with new caddie Shane Comer. And when I say new, I don’t mean new simply for Na Yeon Choi. I mean new to caddying in a professional event. Way to start off the partnership and pro career!

I guess what I'm saying is, if she were eight shots off the cut and making all sorts of mistakes, it would be one thing. But it felt like she had a lot of putts that just missed or hung on the lip or lipped out, and was still hitting a fair number of greens. And when she missed she was really punished, like that shot that rolled into the water somehow when it looked like the water was not even in play. In other words, if she were going to miss the cut, this would be the best way for her to do it.

For about two hours, I slogged through what was a pretty dull final round. The players I really wanted to see, MJ Hur and Q Baek, were not having good days. Lewis just seemed to have momentum on her side and looked destined to win, and NYC couldn't do anything with her putter. Then NYC sank that shot on 16 and this event came alive! It was eerie and weird to see how quickly the crowd quieted down after that holeout. I'm still not sure what to make of what happened on 17, but just imagine if she had made an ace there to follow up a holeout? We came with a few inches of a historic finale! Even without that, it was incredibly sweet to watch Na Yeon snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Awesome job by her, even if it took some magical assistance from the golf gods. Other than NYC, there were slim pickings from the Sisters. Minjee Lee had another strong week; Amy Yang eked out a top ten. Sei Young Kim had an awesome run to get to the top 20. And though it wasn't a top ten, congrats to Q Baek for a 22nd, one of her better recent finishes. Sisters Hwaiting!!!!
