I read an article that Hee Young Park introduced Lydia to the Ledbetter Academy.
I did not know that she was also there.
I guess that's why she is also going downhill.
However I believe Lydia is so talented that she will overcome any set back.

I better start brushing up on my Korean if I want to properly fanboy HYP....all I know is hello and thank you. I'm trying to built up my courage to chat with The Dragon Lady....lol. Hopefully Danielle Kang's mom shows up...she's hilarious and I'll find out more about the Palm Springs restaurant rage and that all the guys in the restaurant cowered and didn't dress down those clowns that hassled her table. |

Pouty Face must be furious and wondering how Mariajo is playing with her, a premier pro and defending champ....anyone else think it's strange how Uribe is in a feature group.
And Uribe is not in The Dark Side golf stable, who would grease someone's palm to get into a feature group.
Hmmmm.....looks like NYC is getting the shaft from the LPGA again...she's in a non-feature group playing with Icher and Ersnt....WTF....more Yank racism???....lol.
I guess Whan is punishing NYC for asking J. Song to loop for her....lol.
Great....we'll see a bit of Gaby Lopez cause she's paired with the "Other" Woods who can break 80....lol.

Jee Young Lee has a tee time...I mistakenly thought she was in Japan this week...someone named Ji Young Lee is in Japan. centurion: Funny that you mention Wei-Ling Hsu. I watched her a little bit on the range at WCC for the KPMG, round two. She was under the watchful eye of daddy, I assume (he may have been her caddie, too...can't remember for sure). I was not blown away...seemed to have a lot more moving parts than the average player...you would think consistency would be a problem in the long run, but what do I know? I couldn't find her swing on Youtube, but they've got a brief interview of her after winning on the Symetra tour in 2014.   |

They had a big rain delay, so it's obvious they won't finish Round One today. Mi Hyang shot 72 (+1), but she's gotta floor it tomorrow...way too many low scores out there. She played with Ai (Even) and Jenny from The Block (-3). Jennifer Kirby: nice-lookin' girl...too bad she's from Washout Junction, Ontario (79, +8). The LPGA leaderboard has an American flag next Candy Hannemann's name, even though she's trying to make Brazil's Olympic team. Shooting 81 (+10) won't help that cause, but are there any women golfers in Brazil that could do better? Maybe Angela Park needs to come out from behind that hotel front desk in LA... Currently watching the USSO...just ridiculous how Tom Watson is hanging in there...and frickin' Hale Irwin is under par! Part-time looper J. Song had 69 (-2)  It's official now.  |

TWO rain delays: read my post in the Tournament Reports thread. They announced on Twitter that play will resume at 7:45am CDT with the 2nd round commencing at 8:45, which suggests that they won't repair and will have the Friday afternoon wave go right back out as the Saturday morning wave. The marquee groups who were in the morning wave today will therefore be racing the sun into the clubhouse tomorrow, but with much better weather for the weekend they should be back on schedule.

Weird first day in Arkansas. Obviously MJ Hur is having a great start, -8 with a few holes left to play and the lead. NYC at 6 under, and she isn't done, either. But Inbee had a mediocre start at 2 under, and So Yeon isn't even in the top 100 after a 2 over start (and remember, she nearly won this event two years ago). Perhaps Q Baek can rally from 1 under... Still rooting like heck for her to find her confidence again! Go Sisters! |

Sei Young at plus one also has work to do, to avoid missing the cut.
Her track record indicates that she will.

Most of the Sisters climbed the Leaderboard today.
Yea! So Yeon. Don't know why I was worried.
The surprise of the day was new number one Inbee.
It's not finished yet, but she will need a miracle to make the cut.
Did not see that coming, because she has been playing so well.
