Six rounds in; the French woman continues to hang onto the lead. Hye Jin had her first genuinely mediocre round, so she's now 8 shots back. On the plus side, she's still in solo 4th with a three-shot lead over fifth. Meanwhile, Na Rin continues to shine, in 2nd at 25 under, 2 back. Back further, it's looking increasingly unlikely that either Min G Kim or Kum Kang Park are getting a card; they still have some time, though. Park needs to make up 4 shots in two rounds. Yaeeun Hong is solo 21st. I think she wants to be in the top 20, so a round in the 60s would certainly help her cause. Hwaiting!!

Round 7 Is this still going on? OK, one round to go. Na Rin is five back and probably won't catch the leader, buuut.... Well, I remember Six being in a similar situation, where she never led all 7 rounds, and she came from behind to grab the "title". So it's certainly possible. But, regardless, she has her full card and can start making her plans for 2022. Hye Jin really doesn't seem to like this course. She was 17 under par last week. So far this week she is +1. She almost certainly has a full card, but she wants to have a decent finish to at least give herself positive thoughts going into the off-season. I hope she's thinking 66 or so. Yaeeun is on the bubble. She did what she had to and shot a 69 today. Now she needs another similar round to clinch a top ten. Kum Kang Park had a great day today and has moved within sight of a lesser card. To be frank, those lesser cards are pretty worthless, but better to have one and get a few chances to play at least. One more day. Hwaiting!!!

Na Rin An kept pace until she made a double bogey on the last hole. Hye Jin Choi is still just inconsistent, not as good but remind me of Sei Young Kim. Sometime her ball striking is off, or she doesn't have much luck on the greens. She sometimes hit good putts and they just miss going in.

Round 8 Congrats to Na Rin An for stealing away the top honors this week! She did not retake the lead until like the 17th hole after being behind for the previous five or six rounds. Great job! Now get ready for the cap signings! Hye Jin did not have a good second week. If her weeks had been reversed she would have only barely made the cut to play the 2nd week. But, that's all irrelevant. She managed a top ten and will have a full card. Welcome! Good day also for Yaeeun Hong. For a while she was even in the top ten herself, but got passed late by three folks and wound up 12th. But she has the golden ticket! The other two sisters just missed the boat. Kum Kang Park just needed a 71 today but shot a 73. Min G Kim made a run but missed out by 1 shot. Better luck next time! Great job, everyone! Hwaiting!

Great round by Na Rin An to get the number one spot.
Hye Jin Choi came back with three birdies after being two over par through eleven holes. Her eight place tie will help her placement on the LPGA Tour.
Kum-Kang Park got to minus five on the front nine. But she had a double bogy, two bogeys only one birdie back nine.
Decent bounce back round minus three for Hinako Shibuno after the terrible seventy nine yesterday.
Kudos: To two ex USC Trojans Allison Corpuz, Jennifer Chang tie for 16th place.

You have to admire someone like Na Rin An, who knew that she wanted to expand her cultural horizons and play on the LPGA from a young age, made a plan to do it and executed it. Now let's see if Na Rin can match the emotional impact of Six when she gives her ROY acceptance speech next November. With a T12, we'll be seeing a lot more of KT too...even though she got pushed out of the top 10 by a late birdie from Binaca Badabing. She doesn't look too upset though. https://www.instagram.com/p/CXZjGjSrhkf
