Jin Young shot a 66 today. Pretty good round, no bogies, but she just feels a little off right now. It's not too late for her to get to the top, but it does kinda feel like this is not her week. Hope she has a sizzling moving day in store! In Gee and So Yeon bounced back nicely, but I think it's too late for Dumbo; Lydia has the Vare by the throat barring a catastrophe. Since I don't see In Gee winning an event this year, the Vare would have been a nice consolation. Oh well, still has been a darn good season! Who knows, maybe she'll get the Lambo.

Great to see Christina Kim put in two good rounds together, would love to see her in contention on Sunday. Nelly, Christina, and Sei Young are paired together, and that should be a lot of fun to watch.
Mi Hyang Lee projected to be 90 in CME Points after shooting a 62 and is T5 going into the weekend. She could really use a solid weekend too.

Great round by Mi Hyang Lee seven birdies, an Eagle on par four eleven and one bogey. She also finished in style with three straight birdies. At minus nine nothing is impossible, a win would get her into the CME.
Really good round by Jeongeun Lee6 at minus six, Had a three birdie front nine, a bogey on eleven, however four birdies after that.
Not a great round by Sei Young Kim minus three. But a minus nine ties her for fifth place and only two strokes off the lead

I'm the anti-jinx. The last time I recall MHL shooting 62 was the first round of the 2016 Founders Cup ... which she followed with a 75. BTW, I tried numerous sources to find a pic of her from today's round, but struck out ... which is good news.

Round 2 As mentioned earlier, a strong day for Jin Young, who is still five back but shot a tidy 66 today. Lee6 was even better, with a 64 that moved her to 8 under and within three. Sei Young's three under 67 keeps her within 2 of the lead, where she started the day. Round of the day came for Mi Hyang Lee with a fantastic 62. She's in the hunt, too! A Lim was up and down all day: in one stretch she went bogey-birdie-eagle-bogey-birdie-bogey. She's at 5 under, 6 back. In Gee and So Yeon made the cut with their own 66s. Two more days. Sisters hwaiting!!!

JYK is turning into a ruler after her last hot streak. Her bag says Love God, Love People and then there are 21 heart shaped bullet holes.
The LPGA should get a Match going between the Korda’s and the Ko’s. Start inching us toward a US vs Korea team event.

Ko vs Nelly could be the start of an all time rivalry. Maybe we’ll get lucky with some Major showdowns next year.

I guess it doesn't matter now if I post MHL pics or not. This looks like the same outfit she wore at Cognizant on Friday.

It's cool to see Christina contend after just making the tournament by being a last-second sponsor's pick.
Lexi's back to her late-season heroics.
I was taken aback to find Inbee had decided to finish her season and not play the last two tournaments but I was not surprised on Shanshan's announcement to retire. I had a feeling she would do so.
So the AON's biggest Reward is not to risk. The thing is never brought up on a PGA broadcast.

Round 3 Not a bad day for most of the Sisters, but this is the kind of course where you have to go low or you have no chance. Jin Young's had three decent days and she's struggling to make a top ten. But she has really carried the Sisters this year; she can't be fantastic every week. It's time for someone else to step up! Sei Young Kim is in a great position, really close to the leaders, and the kind of player who can go really low at times. She is the only Olympian who has not won this year. It's time for a little magic from her! Go Sei Young! And good luck to Jin Young and Six; here's hoping they have great Sundays in store for us. Hwaiting!

What is going on? In Gee had a 299 yard driving average today; A Lim is currently at 332 yards AVERAGE (!!). Are they getting 40 extra yards of roll?

I watched some of this tonight ... I won't spoil the ending (I don't know how it ended). At the 13th tee (354 yards), I think it was Boone who said he expected it to be moved back to its longer setting on Sunday, but was not (it was 425 on Thursday). The broadcasters talked about the generous fairway widths and how the long hitters were not hemmed in and used their drivers. Put Foltzy & Co. on truth serum and they'll say this golf course was a JOKE for a field of this caliber.
The Pelican GC website says the course can play as long as 7,000 yards, but it averaged 6,085 per day. BTW, the Seaview Bay course for Shoprite/Acer averaged 6,084 per day ... but that place has almost no extra space for additional distance. So, the lengths of both course are virtually the same, but there are some big differences beyond that:
PELICAN
Acres of fairway - 70 Primary rough - 1.5" Sand bunkers - 52 Water hazards in play - 7
Avg. green size - 8,000 sq. feet
SEAVIEW
Acres of fairway - 25
Primary rough - 3.0" Sand bunkers - 93 Water hazards in play - 1
Avg. green size - 6,000 sq. feet
Source - LPGA website.
Yes, Pelican has many more water hazards, but does it have the Seaview's 24"+ fescue garbage around the greens? Which course would demand a greater variety of skills from a golfer?
**********
No pics of MHL today ... I assume finishing T-52 will send her to Q-Series.
**********
I may be seeing Christina wheeling a cart into the Galloway Shoprite again next year. I pronounced her washed-up last month, and she might still be wash-up ... this course proved NOTHING in that regard. To her credit, she DID what she HAD to do, regardless of the conditions.

Tough stuff from Thompson. She’s got courage, and she needs it.

While I'm disappointed SYK didn't win, I was very pleased to see her put together such a strong title defence even though she's not at her best. I hope it a sign of better play to come. 😁
