It's November 11 thru 14 for a field of 108. The intern is off this weekend, so the field on the LPGA website does not include recent sponsor exemptions Maria Fassi (which she deserved) and Steph Meadow.
The Old Ko changed her mind is now playing this one ... if her exemption rank was applied to do this, it explains why Daniela Darquea is back on the street and relegated to 1st reserve. The Monday qualifier field is far from current as it still shows Duncan and Meadow in it. Aside from two players getting in via the qualifier, I think they still have two more exemption or invitee spots to fill.

Darquea is off the street and back in the tournament again. Plus, they added Steen and Reto. The first three reserves are C. Kim, Herbin and Muni. Next Monday's qualifier is at a different venue, TPC Tampa Bay.

L.A. Pace is off the hook ... Greeny is the new LPGAer scamming $1 million out of AON by skipping this event -
I give Nichols credit for figuring out all the mathematics ... which I have NEVER attempted to do, because the award is hard to take seriously. The little booklet they handed out at Cognizant had a course map which said #18 was the AON r/r hole ... otherwise, I never would have known ... a par-5 with no water, yeah some risk.

I actually have no issue with Green skipping the event to protect her lead...or Ciganda for skipping at least two events at the end of 2019 for the same reason. I'm sure both were just listening to their financial advisors who told them they'd be crazy not to skip those events. It's not their fault that the AON contest is famously flawed and they've never taken steps to fix it.
But what Pace did was dishonest. She withdrew from an event immediately after blowing up the AON hole, saying she had back tightness...and refusing treatment from the on-site LPGA PT. She was on 'pace' to miss the cut if she didn't WD, so the score on that hole would have stood as one of her two scores for that event.
Hallelujah! Her back was fine at the next event.
Karma! Ciganda shortly overtook her lead in the contest anyway.

This is pathetic. Ted Williams' head must be spinning in a vat of liquid nitrogen.

It also shows how much a $1 million is on the LPGA compared to the PGA.
Hannah Green, a major champion, has 2.2 million in career earnings, and 530K this season.
The PGA winner Matthew Wolff has just under 7 million in career earnings, and 2.5 million in the 2021 season. A season where he had only 4 top 25s, 2 top 10s, and no wins.
There’s no surprise an LPGA player would try to bank that million dollars, where the PGA pros who are leading may not have to.

It just occurred to me that Greeny has skipped a lot of tournaments this year. Is there a minimum of rounds required to qualify for the award? I'm too lazy and disinterested to look it up. Giving $1 million to one player who is not that desperate for the money is a total waste. If AON really wants to help the LPGA membership in an exciting way, they should give out cash for aces like they do on the JPLGA. Take a look at this year's ace list ... Kyung Kim and SC Chieng would appreciate any spare loot they could get.

Aces are almost pure luck. Every player is capable of hitting quality shots on the par 3's, and once in a blue moon one goes in the holes. The AON R/W does need some work, but the concept is fine. They simply need to play tougher courses, or at least toughen the holes used for the reward.

AON should just junk this ridiculous contest and give $1 million to girls golf or be a secondary presenting sponsor on a tournament. They would get more publicity for that than this "challenge." The only press this gets now is an annual article by Beth Ann on who's gaming it this year.
Tune in this weekend for the exciting conclusion of the AON Risk/Reward Challenge! The only competition where your favorite player can win a million dollars by not playing!

Looks like there is more motivation for Jin Young: linkI looked it up: both are tied at 9.03, but Korda must have a lead by thousandths. This is a funny take: link

Hopefully the Rolex ranking keeps glitching back and forth between Nelly and JYKo all winter to bring attention to the rivalry.
