statFrom 75-100 yards away, Jin Young's average proximity to the hole is 10'1". Not only is that number one on the LPGA, but it also beats, by 2 feet, the best on the PGA, and is seven feet better than that tour's average. Whoa! I love these new stats KPMG sponsored!

Great we're starting to see these new KPMG stats. Gotta take them all with a grain of salt for a while - pretty small sample size, since they only started at Mediheal, I think it was.

She could be even better than the early returns are showing. There’s simply no reason a women wouldn’t be the best in the world at hitting a ball close to a hole from 75-100 yards.

These new stats will have a public-facing web page early next year. I hope it's really robust, so we can create our own statistical comparisons based on existing stats. I can dream.

I have no problem believing a woman could be the best in the world. Don't know much about the men's game these days, but I follow the women pretty closely, and know what Jin-young can do. I was just saying that half a season of stats might not be so representative, that's all.

It’s the kind of stat that would do a lot for women’s golf. Ball don’t lie. 3/4 of golf fans are clueless jerks or pompous assess. Speaking of pompous one PGA official just said on TV “We like to say if we can make golf look more like the world (people of color) maybe we can make the world look more like our wonderful game”.
