Here's an example of their inexplicable coverage: Na Rin An (+1) hits a six foot par save. Switch to another hole. Back to see Min Ji Park (-1) miss a birdie. Yewon Lee (-3) walking to her putt -- switch to watch Jin Hee Im (-1) miss a birdie. Why? Im is behind Lee and is hardly a star. Why not watch Lee? We never do return to see Lee.
SNAP OUT OF IT! The Mini Rocket just tied for the lead!
Sorry, watching every shot of Yeun Jung Seo has put me into a stupor. Yay Mini Rocket!

Tough day for Hee Jeong Lim four over par seventy six. It looked like one those days when she made bogey, with three putt on one and hazard on four. She did make birdie on two. She made pars after that until a double bogey on thirteen. Finished with birdie fifteen, bogey seventeen and eighteen. She has two more rounds to climb the Leaderboard. I only watched the first ten holes.
In Gee just missed playing with Ji Hyun Oh for a second straight day. Ji Hyun is paired with Hyun Kyung Park.
Dumbo had 17 pars and one birdie today. She must be so frustrated missing so many birdie tries, some by just a hair. But if she can stay patient, maybe she'll be rewarded tomorrow.
The final group is interesting: Ju Young, Ha Na and Ye Won Lee. Lee has been slowly building all season to the fantastic round she had today, a 67. She won her first Dream Tour event just last week, on a similarly tough course. But she has never been in a situation like this before. I sure hope she just goes out there, does her best and feels good about her efforts at the end of the day. It's all a learning experience, but I'll be rooting for her to keep the fun going!
Ju Young took a page from her sister's book and rocketed up the leaderboard. She had 4 birdies in a row on the back nine. Her job is to keep her wits about her and not get too far ahead of herself. Ha Na, meanwhile, has the nickname 'The Autumn Girl' because she has a tendency to win most of her big events in the Fall. She has to be the favorite here.
Don't count out Min Ji, Ji Hyun Oh, Hyun Kyung or Hyo Joo, all of whom could upset the apple cart with a great moving day. Even Inbee with a 67 could put herself into this. She can't keep missing 4 footers forever!
Hee Jeong Lim started with four straight pars. I was thinking a par five is coming up time for her first birdie. But she made a double bogey on it. Things are not looking good for her so far. I don't understand how her game could change from good to bad. Her tee to green has to be good to score because she hardly make any long putts. Or save par by making a lot of putts.
Hee Jeong just made bogey on eight six over.
Hee Jeong Lim two bogeys and a double bogey. It wasn't a terrible round, she just didn't make any birdies to offset the bogeys. Hopefully tomorrow she can make some of the long putts other golfers are making.
All the fun has kinda sapped out of this one. All the unusual players on the leaderboard have fallen down and we have no one left but the usual suspects, and none of them are really playing all that well, so it's just a lot of pars, an occasional mistake, and the order has stayed intact. Even Ha Na Jang seems weirdly subdued. And every time you think she might be slipping, she hits it within gimme range and maintains her advantage. It's a strong leaderboard, but there is far more scrambling than great shot making.
Maybe something interesting will happen to shake things up tomorrow, but it doesn't look like it...
Just in the past five minutes things have gone even more in Ha Na's favor. She made a short birdie to gain a 4 shot lead, and the two closest to her are struggling: Hyo Joo went from bunker to bunker on 17, and left herself a six foot par save, which she missed; and Jung Min Lee had an unplayable near the green, dropped, then hit a flyer like 30 feet past the hole. She made a lip-out triple. So just like that, Jang is up five.
Still haven't seen a single fist pump from Ha Na all week!
This is a pretty punishing layout; none of the par fives are reachable, and there are plenty of places where one can get into a heap of trouble. Still, I don't think it's as hard as the scores indicate. It just feels like the big names are not bringing their A games (excepting Jang of course). For instance, not too many folks got close to that hole position on 18, even though some had short irons (I think Ye Won had like 75 yards in, and was in the fairway, but was farther from the flag than Jang, who hit out of the rough).
In that regard, In Gee and Ji Hyun Oh are doing fine. Ji Hyun had 14 straight pars to end her round (!).
Ye Won really had a tough day, but she's going to have those as she develops. It's all good. Hopefully she can manage to maintain the top ten.
