Did Saku-chan really win that earth mover? She's holding the giant key for it. I can only imagine seeing her dig out an in-ground pool in her backyard on her day off.

The winner of this event is always awarded CAT construction equipment. However, I assume that Koiwai has the option to accept the cash equivalent behind the scenes. I mean, really, what is she supposed to do with that dumb thing and where?! Over there, you have to prove to the authorities that you have a parking space before you can buy a car, so I've heard.
*********
Meanwhile, it appears that Karis Davidson has had her fill of Japan ... didn't play this week and is not in the next two events. Instead, she will take a stab at Monday qualifying in Portland, Arkansas and AC. I'm guessing that she entered herself in LPGA q-school and will go directly to Stage Two, since she had a RR of # 334 as of August 9. I don't know how she'll manage this ... I'll bet she'll sleep on Greeny's couch ... I didn't realize until later that they were the two superfans in costume following Webby around at the 2017 USWO.

Here is a working video of the final round broadcast, starting with Koiwai hitting her 3rd shot at the par-5 15th and Inami walking the 14th green. Check it out before the authorities take it down. Nishiyama's ace at #17 is at 35:26. You'll see that the Nichols Propaganda was banned here ... No. 15 was 563 yards, the par-4 16th was 421 yards and the par-5 18th was 517 yards with a pin position just beyond a downward ridge on the green. Inami's mediocre iron shots and lousy chipping were relentlessly punished.
