There isn't another LPGA Tournament after the AIG until the middle of September. I hope that she don't come over try to still money from the KLPGA golfers. I don't care if the fans like LPGA golfers the KLPGA golfers need to share their purses themselves.
Anyway So Yeon is playing that's a big plus to me.

Any info on the reasons behind Jin Young Ko's absence in this tournament?
As someone based in the US, I'm not surprised there's little press or information here but surely there is some speculation or coverage coming out of Korea....

I haven't found anything yet. When they mention her in Korean articles, they just say she is skipping and will play in Portland next. So maybe she just is taking an extended vacation...

I absolve JYK of any missteps. She's struggling a bit. She'll get her feet back on the ground very soon in the Asian Swing.

Based upon Jin Young's latest Instagram posts, it looks to me like she has gone back to her former swing coach, Lee Si Woo. It's hard to read between the lines of the posts and not come away with any other conclusion.
BTW, as someone not familiar with the Korean culture, can someone explain the meaning of the following comments you see you in MANY posts:
"it's been a long time since I've been in the middle of the day...."
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm'sorry......."

That "in the middle of the day" thing is a common mistranslation of a lot of different Korean phrases - google translate seems to default to that quite often. If you know a bit of Korean, you can see that it's never what is actually written.

IMO, the translation utilities get so much wrong that it is hard to use them for anything more than the basic gist. I know enough Korean that I can usually get the gist from the original, then translate a word or phrase here or there to help with details. But even then I have to just ignore about half of the translations because I know they are wrong.

I'd have to see the original Korean, then I might be able to tell you.
