Oh boy, weather.com says there is 24-37% chance of showers between 1 PM - 5 PM ... wind 20+ MPH ... well, I'll be busy and won't be following MHL (-2) today anyway.
********
When I speculated on who could win the US Senior Women's Open post-Mannika, I forgot about Becky Morgan who is about 46 and plays maniacally anywhere and everywhere ... she could definitely win it. Oh, and that's at least three seasons with Yonex now.
*********
None of my business, but what is Nikki's "official status" with Nanna Cursed Mad these days? C'mon man, you've been with her since at least 2016 when she wanted to kill you at Canoe Brook CC.
***********
Alison Muirhead opened with a 74 and is bombing out Friday AM ... quite unfortunate.

Pedersen seems like she could be the best player in golf.

Great round by Jeongeun Lee6 now tied for fifth place. Maybe if she can shoot a good round tomorrow. A final round sixty six like she did last year on the KLPGA Tour MBN Ladies Tournament. Instead of second place to Min Ji Park like last year, she could get the win.
A Lim Kim and Jenny Shin could still get a top ten or five.
In Gee Chun two over has an outside chance for a top ten as well.

Nanna Madsen's caddie is her boyfriend, btw. Has been since the beginning pretty much.

Tied for 1st going into Sunday ... this will NOT end well. I hope I'm wrong, but gee whiz, how can she have no wins in eleven Major League seasons? Was it Miller who said at the 2011 Solheim that she could hit shots other woman golfers couldn't hit? With her physical tools, she should have won somewhere, anywhere at least once. I followed her some at Sebonack in 2013 ... it's difficult to comment on her swing ... all I saw was a blur.

O'Toole can out surf and out skateboard anybody in Tour history. A true athlete. I can't watch.

Well Jeongeun Lee6 did shoot sixty six like she did last year final round at MBN Ladies Open. No second place but a tie for seventh place. Five birdies the back nine, shows what she is capable of, just need to be more consistent.
Strange final round for the rest of the Korean Golfers. A Lim Kim, Amy Yang, Haeji Kang, In Gee Chun and Jenny Shin all shot sixty eight.

This is a delightful surprise. O'Toole is a role model with a back story. Hopefully she's paired with Stanford at the British and a score is settled.

Okay, please refresh my memory and dish the dirt.
I have an educated guess and looked up this ancient history:
It appears that Stanford only needed a halve against Aza in the last singles match for the USA to retain the cup, 14-14. That was predicated on Ryann knocking off Hedwall in the immediate match before ... which she was on track to doing at 2-up with two holes remaining. Unfortunately, Ryann blew the last two holes, which put Stanford in the position of a must-win against Aza ... and Aza ended up winning.
Stanford was 0-3-0 in her matches, while Ryann was 2-0-2 ... a humorous observation at GolfWrx:
Lewis/Stanford was among the most grumpy and lifeless pairings ever, one sour puss bad shot after another.

Hopefully, mr3putt will be reinstated and can tell the total story. I doubt if he'd cause much of a ruckus here nowadays. Apparently, Stanford didn't believe Ryann should be on the team and badmouthed her from day one. Sour puss indeed.

It was a flawless final round of links golf by O'Toole. Watching her game and her demeanor this week, I thought she was the favorite going into the round. It was like watching Nicklaus win a major... play your game, take few chances, let the others make the mistakes.

Well, another week where you have to go way down the leaderboard to find anyone who shot over par. It helps someone trying to get a first time win when they know that they won't be likely to struggle too much with a tough layout.
In Gee had a 67, Six a 66. That was a little better than average even on this course. Congrats to them and keep hwaiting!

Really you are comparing someone who finally hit a jackpot to a Golfer with eighteen Majors. It took her eleven years for the stars to align for her to win her first LPGA Tournament. Not only had she not won but she hadn't contended that much. Be happy for her this time because she more than likely will never win again.

Well, since she shot 64 on Sunday to win I think Jack might appreciate the comparison. There were two sixty threes, two sixty fours, one sixty five, five sixty sixes. Over a third of the field shooting sixty eight or better, sixty four is not that impressive. I didn't say that she didn't have a great round, but comparing her to Jack, come on!!!
