It was a very hot day and the Golfers were out there giving their best. There is only three Medals Officially, but making through four days is a Medal in itself. Or three days if that's all that they play.

Sunrise in Saitama is 4:56 AM on Saturday and the first tee time is 6:30 AM ... the early starters better start warming up in their hotel rooms. They're going off the 1st and 10th tees. Accuweather says there will be T-storms at 6 AM and 7 AM. Then there is calmness until 2 PM, so if the course isn't too wet, they can get in the 4th round.
CORRECTION: I first wrote 5:30 AM ... whoops, I was looking Eastern Standard Time tonight.
NASA ... something weird going on with those vest logos.

Albane Valenzuela missed the first fairway to the left and the rough swallowed her ball. She took a full swing and hit a 10-yard grounder. Well, that knocks off this place from holding a future LPGA event.

DK's Team USA uniform reminded me of my trip to PGA Tour Superstore on Wednesday night. She had two or three photo displays in the women' apparel department regarding "official" USA duds. It wasn't clear if they were trying to capitalize on the current Olympics or the 2021 Solheim Cup ... maybe it's both.
*******
I'm glad Greeny's pith helmet is optional headwear for Team Oz ... I wonder if there is much labor involved in getting all the nooks and crannies just right in Minjee's Srixon XR7 irons. I saw those sticks at Westchester this week ... Grace Kim had them ... can't remember who else, I don't have my notes with me at the moment.

Shane Bacon lost me ... when Nelly was getting ready to hit at #1, did he say she was trying to win women's golf first gold medal since 1900? Umm, what about Winbee in 2016? I could have heard it wrong ... he threw out a lot of complicated gobbledygook in a short period of time ... WHICH IS NOT NECESSARY, just zipper it already.
**********
I'm kinda blasé on the solid color and block letter look of Team USA ... even Captain America looked better here.

I’m sure Shane meant first American Women’s golf medal since 1900.

Somehow there are drunk Aussie’s at a closed golf course in Japan. To nobody’s surprise.

Round 4
Jin Young, Hyo Joo and Sei Young all played decently, but even after they made a little run on the front nine, they still were just as far back as before. And even worse, because everyone was shooting in the 60s (again), the bronze medal kept getting farther away. As it turned out, Jin Young or Sei Young would have needed a 62 for the bronze.
Oh well, I think it was still a perfectly fine four days for the Sisters, but the new world order means you have to go really low at least one round or you have no chance. This week, you have to go down to 18th to find someone shooting out of the 60s, and the first score worse than +1 was Caroline Masson at T40th!
To my surprise, Jin Young was leading the field in GIR after three rounds. If they ever play a tournament again on a course where GIR matters, she's probably gonna do OK.
Sisters Hwaiting!!!

Lydia is back but can she catch Nelly who dropped her scoring average 1.38 shots from 2020?
I wonder if Lydia has one more push when she stops playing foam filled irons made for dentists.

In her interview immediately after playing, Korda Two used the word "absurd" twice to describe winning an Olympic gold medal in golf ... that can taken in more than one way.
