Back to Hokkaido, they were just there two weeks ago. This is a big one, four days and a total purse of ¥120,000,000 for a field of 120 (top-70 plus ties make the cut). Mone Inami is not in this one ... oh wait, maybe she and NASA (not at Evian) are required to march into the (empty) stadium in Tokyo this week.
TV Tokyo will have LIVE coverage on the weekend (Japan time) -
SAT 4:00 PM - 5:15 PM
SUN 12:45 PM - 2:00 PM

There will be official coverage on YouTube this weekend (geo-blocked I assume) ... rogue search:

Kotone Hori is in but sister Natsuka couldn't sneak in.
The living Legend Yuri Fudoh is also playing. I can't call Jiyai Shin a Legend yet because she is still winning Tournaments. Shiho Oyama is still contending for wins, so she don't qualify for Legend Status either.
I hope Yui Kawamoto(yes it's come down to hoping she makes the cut). Can find a way to finish a round in style.

Lots of familiar names at the top of the Leaderboard. Good start for Kotone Hori four birdies one bogey.
Yui Kawamoto had an ok round, three birdies two bogeys. I wonder if she started on front side because her bogeys were on 15&16.
The par five eighth hole, five hundred twenty one yards was playing easy. Only one golfer in the top twenty failed to make birdie on it.

Yes Yui Kawamoto did start on the front nine and those two bogeys were on the back nine. She must have a phobia about holes fifteen through eighteen. They were on her front nine this time and she made bogey, double on seventeen and eighteen. However she has made two birdies on the front nine to get back to minus one. Thirty seven tie now so she need another birdie and no bogey to be safe.

Another good round by Kotone Hori of minus two. Tied for tenth place right now is pretty good.
Yui Kawamoto again finished with bogeys on two off the last three holes. But she did have a birdie between the two. Close to the cut but she made it. Now if she can put a couple of good rounds together.

Stream is working great.
It's funny they have just one notable that's always listed on the first page of the leaderboard -- Shibuno Fever -- no matter what her score is. At the moment it's T19 after 10.
Shibuno must have separate clothing sponsors for when she plays JLPGA (Beams) and outside Japan.

Yes, it's working great ... I can't believe it is NOT geo-blocked ... probably a mistake! Here's the link for Round Four, which starts Sunday at 8:45 AM (Japan time) -
I'd like to see Saiki Fujita win, but it's shaping up to be Shin's week ... she overspun her wedge at the par-5 10th, but still chipped in for birdie, leads at -13.

Kotone Hori a minus two round to tie for eighth place. She can't win but a top five or ten would be nice.
A decent round for Yui Kawamoto of minus two. She made an Eagle on a par five, but a bogey on two others, go figure. Still an under par round of seventy is a step forward.
