Really good round by Hee Jeong Lim, six birdies three bogeys. Two of her bogeys were on par fives, which is unusual for her. I didn't watch the late groups, so she may have actually been shown.
On another note: I wonder if that was Shi Hyun Ahn last Tournament. If so she had a great Career.

Bo Ah Kim and 'Brown', her head cover Is 'Brown' wearing an animal costume? That's very meta. Yep, he's dressed as a dragon, but he isn't fooling me! My daughter bought a Brown teddy bear (sans dragon outfit) when we were in Korea in 2019!

This is a very interesting leaderboard. Min Ji Park threw the gauntlet down in the morning, shooting a 69 for one of the lowest rounds at that time. Hyun Kyung didn't flinch and shot a 68 in the afternoon to match her at 7 under. Could this be a rematch of last week?
Ha Na Jang and Hee Jeong Lim are also quietly lurking, and Na Rin An is not too far back, either. And a great 71 by Ji Hyun Oh to vault up the standings. Hye Jin is also in the top 15, albeit 7 back, as is Hae Ran Ryu. Ga Young Lee is overdue a great week, and she's three back at the moment.
But beating them all was an amateur named Yu Min Hwang, who shot a 67, low round of the day. Keep an eye on her tomorrow!

https://www.instagram.com/p/CQQjNRbgYtW It's official I guess that Shi Hyun Ahn is leaving after nineteen great years. The last of the first great Golfers that came to the LPGA. Edit: Sorry HappyFan I just scanned through your photos. I didn't notice that you had in fact posted that Shi Hyun Ahn was retiring

I just turned on the broadcast ... a threesome with Ee Ga Young and Ee Jung Min teed off at #1. Hae Rym Kim missed a hole-out from the rough by about two inches.

You would think the Korea Golf Association would have the stroke to get the women's national open located at a top-notch venue. According to these guys, Rainbow Hills CC is ranked 28th in Korea, which doesn't seem impressive ... on the other hand, there are a ton of courses in the ROK. Review:
The lengthy review above mentions a line in the club's marketing: "Aiming to be the Augusta National GC of Korea" ... well, I've been watching about 45 minutes and my response is I DON'T THINK SO!!!

The Hulk is wearing noticeable make-up during play these days ... draw your own conclusions. Two or three weeks ago, someone on TV or the GolfWrx forum had a throwaway line about her contemplating a return to the LPGA ... is there any reliable scuttlebutt about this?

Ha Na Jang was talking about rejoining the tour back a few years ago. Then she won the LPGA event in Korea, which would have earned her a card, and she turned it down. So I'm skeptical about her desire to return.

Agree - and Hana always wears makeup on the course. Man, Min Ji and Hyun Kyung running away with this thing. Jang hanging around, as is that amateur. I haven't really thought much about amateur golf in Korea. Would this woman be a college player? Do the universities have golf programmes?

Boy, Min Ji and Hyun Kyung are not giving an inch. They are going toe-to-toe, leaving the rest of the field in the dust.
On the 12th hole, HK hit her approach to about eight feet. Min Ji then hit hers to about a foot. Both made birdie. Hyun Kyung -13, Min Ji -12, the next player on the leaderboard, -5.

Traditionally, Majors aren't supposed to see players at 15 under. A traditional 5 under right now has you 10 shots behind as HK and Min Ji are putting on an insane show.
The way this has unfolded this is going to be the legionary "DUEL AT RAINBOW HILLS" if this continues tomorrow.

Wow, ya gotta pity Hyun Kyung Park! She shot a 65 today, the best score by anyone the entire week - except for the 64 Min Ji Park posted in the same group! HK still lost ground even with her 65! She in fact led or was tied for the lead almost all day. Wow.
Kudos to Jung Min Lee, who had 5 straight birdies at one point and shot a brilliant 67; she nonetheless lost three shots to Min Ji.
One more day! Still any Park's game!!!

QUESTION: Of the top 40 or 50 courses in the course rankings, how many host KLPGA...or KPGA events? I'm guessing #1 South Cape hasn't hosted an event. *****

I thought about that, too. The reviews frequently mention big events held at these golf courses. A few from the ROK list -
2. Nine Bridges - LPGA, PGA 4. Jack Nicklaus Korea - President's Cup and UL International Crown 5. Woo Jeong Hills - Frequently used as qualifier site for USWO, also used by KPGA 8. Jade Palace - this one sounds familiar ... I think it was used recently by the KLPGA 14. Blackstone/Icheon - I remember Lee Westwood winning a Euro event during one of his Asian slum tours 17. Sky 72 (Ocean) - KLPGA 19. Skyhill Jeju - KLPGA 21. The Star Hue - KLPGA
