Sup Arg. How many courses played are you up to now? I'm up to 679 courses. That's staggering. LOL. Thanks for the update!

So how did the Mediheal Trio do. So Yeon Ryu had three bogeys her front nine, two birdies back nine. Not too bad, considering she bounced back a little.
Sei Young Kim had a mixed bag as usual, five bogeys, four birdies.
Da Yeon Lee stole the show with a triple bogey on hole one and one birdie front nine . She then went on a surge with a five birdie no bogeys back nine.

I had no idea until recently that lpga.com has player/caddy data for tournaments going back to 2018 ... maybe they've been doing it for longer that.
Being separated in person from the LPGA for two years has left me behind on who is with whom. Two of MHL's ex-loops are in action this week, Ivan Galdame and Chad Payne ... good ones from what I've observed in the past. Ivan had a good baller in Pajaree A. in 2020, had Chella at the 2021 Kia, but now he is with Unlucky Five, which I consider a downgrade. Really surprised to see the return of Cheeseburger Chad. I seem to recall a blog entry by Larry the Looper saying Cheeseburger was leaving the tour for real estate/house flipping. Maybe he is doing both now, as he has been with Jiwon Jeon for all of 2021 ... as usual, he is with an Asian player. Jeon's sponsors and/or family must have deep pockets because she has virtually no income and I doubt Cheeseburger works cheap, as he has been around a long time ... I remember him with Peanut 12+ years ago.
Tanya Paterson was a real character with Laura Davies, but she needs to eat and is probably doing it now with Ashleigh Buhai. Weathered old Audrey Gerdes used to be a fixture with Kim Kaufman 4+ years ago, but has bounced around lately ... had MJ Hur at the 2020 USWO, began 2021 with Linnea Strom and is with Lee Lopez this week. I chatted a little with Jeff DeCoen at the Seaview practice green in 2018 ... MS Kwak had him for a few events in 2021 before she dumped him. I wasn't aware that Holly Clyburn has abandoned playing to loop for Jodi E.S.
J. Song with Mike Darby ... never heard of him before, but Getty has a pic of him with D.A. Points at the 2017 PGA Championship.

Round 1 Pretty good start for Inbee. She missed a few putts she normally would make, but still made 29 putts and shot a 69. The big surprise was Da Yeon Lee, also shooting a 69 after a not-so-great week at the Open last week. I really hope we get a chance to see her this week! A Lim shot 72 for a solid opener, while Hyo Joo was at -1. So Yeon and Sei Young were a bit more mediocre at +1, but there's plenty of time to right the ship. Sisters hwaiting!!!

Can anyone explain how Alison Lee is still an LPGA member?

Can anyone explain how Alison Lee is still an LPGA member? She just barely had status beginning this year as she was #176 on the Priority list. But she took advantage of her few chances (finished top 25 at the Lotte), and when the LPGA had their first Priority List reshuffle a couple of weeks ago moved all the way up to #143. She will now get into all full field events. In her last 2 tournaments since the reshuffle she has finiahed 17th and 16th. Off to a great start this week. The final reshuffle will be coming up in a few weeks and she will move up again. Hope that helps.

She has an LPGA quality game,( even if she is an ex UCLA Bruin Golfer) Kidding My problem is with Golfers withdrawing if they are having high scores.

With all the dropouts this week, why isn't Morgan playing? She won't be playing Meijer, either. Is she officially toast? I didn't hear any retirement announcements. She made $35K in her last start at Hugel. Oh, and what about Rock? He better find a new bag if he hasn't already ... and it has to be a good one. That big boy cannot subsist on $1 hamburgers.
**********
Ee Da Yeon just made three straight bogeys ... I guess that gets GC off the hook ... did they show her once today?
**********
Why did the Yangster drop out after shooting 71?
**********
Ace today for Su Oh ... had a couple of looks by GC ... MHL (74-78) was in the same group and they showed the back of her shoulders ... I need to start scouting some long-term alternatives when the LPGA hits NJ.

A tough day for the Korean Golfers, three tied for ninth place and only four in the top twenty. A Lim Kim was the only one to have a clean back nine with three birdies.
Mi Seo Kwak was the only one with two rounds under par at one under each.
Da Yeon Lee had an early double bogey, had four birdies. Then had three straight bogeys on 12,13,14 and birdie on seventeen.
Jenney Shin the other top ten, a decent round five birdies two bogeys.
So Yeon had three birdies and a bogey front nine, but no birdies and three bogeys back nine. Her drives was good @ 275Y but she had thirty three putts. She also hit fourteen greens which means her putting hurt the most. I bet that she will have a good scoring weekend.

Round 2 Another rotten week for the Koreans is shaping up... The four biggest Korean stars all made the cut but all sit 7 or more shots back. A Lim had a nifty 69 to move into the top ten, joining Da Yeon, who somehow carved out a 72 to remain 4 off the lead. Jenny Shin also is at 3 under. About the only bright spot is that a number of Sisters from outside of Korea are in the hunt, including Korea-Americans Danielle Kang (leader), Lauren Kim 1 back, and Jane Park and Alison Lee in the top five. Yealimi Noh is quietly at 3 under along with Su Oh. Sisters hwaiting!

We need to talk about this Morgan Pressel situation. Yesterday I had to change the channel specifically because of her shrill tone. I have reached an impasse. I don't even want to start on her lack of insight as a commentator. Even if she had any, it would not matter much, the sound of it being so disagreeable.
As a US viewer of women's golf on TV, I feel like I've tolerated a lot of obnoxious crap. I feel at times I am actually being dared to change the channel. This is the last straw, putting a voice like that in the booth. I thought Paige Mackenzie was the worst they could do but lo, I was wrong. Can they get even worse from here? With Michelle, maybe. Who is currently being groomed for this same job. You can't make this stuff up. I'm going to look into some Korean TV subscriptions this afternoon.
For American women's golf, it's over man. They're putting people like this in the booth because a) these are the best they can find and 2) public interest is circling the drain and nothing they do programming-wise will affect things either way so why bother.

(And Asian-Australasians of course.) There's another potential human-interest story (for anyone with the balls to take it on). Could anyone even begin to attempt to explain what's going on here? This is maybe just a small part of the story but I wonder if Se Ri's success had any special resonance outside of Korea's borders, i.e. to expatriated Koreans.

One benefit of getting Wie as a commentator is that we won't have to watch her shooting 77s every time she tees it up. Also, it would mean actually adding an ethnically Korean voice to the broadcast. But there has just got to be someone better...? Inci Mehmet is a Korean-Cypriot who grew up in England. An LET member, she has recently been doing some commentating (including men's events) to earn some extra bucks. She seems smart, actually knows golf, is easy on the eyes, and has an awesome English accent. They should see if she'd be up for coming over here? Here she is at a recent event with some Swedish golfer: https://www.instagram.com/p/CP_UXVbt0RB Here she is giving a lesson on Sky Sports so you can see how comfortable she is on-camera:

ManBun keeps tees in his bun for Danielle's use. Who knew?
***********
Mischievous A Lim is fist-punching her way around the course, and briefly held the lead this afternoon...and she may again soon.

It's "Double Strand of Pearls Day" for Morgan. I would say that's a grandma look, but Judy wouldn't be caught dead wearing Pressel's outfits.
