If Whan and Samaan have real estate issues at the moment, they could fix that by swapping houses!
*******
I like the above article by Larry B. in the desert ... it does not contain any "I am woman, hear me roar" malarkey. It even correctly implies that the LPGA has lost ANA Inspiration vs. ANWA war ... I say admit defeat and move the ANA Inspiration to one week earlier so it doesn't conflict with ANWA (you would think title sponsor ANA would demand this change as well).
I don't know when Samaan starts the job, but one of her first tasks should be vocally demanding the returning of spectators with no restrictions ... IF there are any places left in the USA doing this. I'm not up on the current state-to-state Covid crap, but He Who Shall Not Be Named recently decreed that the Jets and Giants can play to full capacity in the fall ... therefore, only an idiot would restrict golf attendance in any way.

Hmm, ANWA is surely as popular as it will ever get - and how popular is it really? One round with amateur women at that racist, sexist course doesn't seem to me that it should merit much attention from ANA. Keep it first week of April, I say. As for coverage, embrace streaming online, with multiple platforms, none exclusive contracts. Forget about network TV. Embrace lpga's worldwide appeal!

I think the problem with ANWA is that most of the golf media focuses on it over ANA because a. they want to get on the good side of Augusta National and b. in some cases, the reporters will be staying for the Masters, so going a couple days earlier is more convenient. The LPGA can't afford to lose what little media coverage they get for ANA, so in this case it makes more sense (to me) to bite the bullet and move ANA.

In a sense, it speaks volume about ANA Inspiration as a LPGA Major Tournament. With media's coverage of USWO this week and way before that, can you imagine ANWA go against USWO?

I totally disagree, the ANA should not bow down to that over hyped BS in Georgia. The LPGA should and Golf Chanel should improve their focus on the ANA. Beside HappyFan you don't like the ANA anyway, you think it should go away.

I can't stand Augusta National, I have never watched the Masters and never will, and certainly don't give a crap about ANWA. But let's be realistic: the Masters is the biggest event in all of golf, and they have decided to put not just ANWA, but the kids chipping thing, during the weekend of the ANA finals. And that draws attention away from the ANA. The LPGA already gets far less attention than the PGA under ideal conditions, why needlessly swim against the tide?

Well, realistically, you are right, they should move it. Augusta is surely not gonna move the Masters, nor the ANWA, since it's unlikely they would prep the course separately for visitors at any other time. Seems like next year would be a good chance to move ANA, since I assume the spring Asian swing will move back to its usual position on the calendar. So should be easy to push ANA back a couple weeks.
