They got in two rounds by hook or by crook. The cut was +2 and 66 players made it.

Now for the BIG news, Akira Yamaji (MC) scored two aces on the front nine in Round Two, the first time a male or female pro in Japan has had two in one round, ever. I'm guessing this has happened in the U.S., but by whom I don't know. See, I told you TM makes good balls.
Yamaji rained on the parade of leader Haruka Kudo, a career scrub I never heard of before.
Hikari Tanabe and Minami Katsu
Yui (+1)
Door slam ... I once heard she traveled the tour in a camper.

Kotone Hori minus one second round was better. But after the plus four first round it was not good enough to make the cut.
Sister Natsuka at plus ten will join her on the side line.
Yui Kawamoto after the jet lag, did ok at plus one to make the cut.

I'm skimming through one of the rogue videos from Round Three (below) ... they'll show anything and everything ... samples:
12:11 - Close up of Hina Arakaki's 3W addressing ball in fairway at par-5 18th 14:31 - Snack time for Kudo and Katsu
27:07 - Nanoko Hayashi's socks

Minami Katsu chose not arrive at SF, CA early ... a direct flight from Tokyo is 9 hours and 20 minutes (per Google Maps)
Misuzu Narita (-2) ... you don't hear a lot of buzz about Honma wedges
Haruka Morita (-2)
Mi Jeong Jeon and Ah Reum Hwang, both -3

Another plus two for Yui Kawamoto in the third round not too bad.
Too bad that Kotone Hori just missed the cut by one stroke.

They were playing at St. Creek GC, a Jack Nicklaus design, and I have played this course before ... on the Jack Nicklaus Golf video game from the late 80s/early 90s. The broadcast included a recorded video of Jack saying it was a good golf course that has stood the test of time. Only three players broke 70 on Sunday, while eight shot 80+.

Momma carried Minami's stand bag to victory, her 5th on the big tour ... will they team up at Olympic?
She didn't get paid for one of those wins, but it still counts.
Hina Arakaki (+2) leaning into an 82.
Sakura Koiwai (+2)
Momo Yoshikawa ready to serve up some HoJo fried clam strips.
Miyuu Yamashita and Yuna Nishimura (-1) declined their recent invitations to the USWO ... probably to avoid two weeks in Japan's Covid gulag after returning.
SW Bae
Teresa Lu (-2) and Yui (+4)
Low am Akie Iwai and Nanoko Hayashi
