Minami Katsu will defend her 2019 championship starting on Friday. For a field of 108, they'll be a little more generous than usual ... the cut is top-60 plus ties, not top-50 plus ties. The big news is the inclusion of 2021 ANWA winner Tsubasa Kajitani.
TBS will carry the regular broadcast for Sunday at 3 PM (Japan time) here:

I see that Solar Lee is still getting into Tournaments. She and Kotone Hori needs to take advantage of these starts. If nothing else make enough to cover expenses. I don't know what type of Sponsor contract that they have. But they have to think about not losing those as well.

It's not looking good for the JLPGA getting in a full Tournament.

Instead of playing everyone on Sunday, they had a cut (Even or better) and 69 players made it.
POS PLAYER SCORE TODAY 1R 2R TOTAL 1 Mone Inami -11 -11 61 61 2 Ai Suzuki -6 -6 66 66 3T Kana Nagai -5 -5 67 67 3T Yuna Nishimura -5 -5 67 67 3T Momoko Osato -5 -5 67 67 6T Au-Reum Hwang -4 -4 68 68 6T Sakura Koiwai -4 -4 68 68
THE BIG NEWS - Mone Iname shattered the tour record with 13 birdies in one round ... the old record was 11 held by several players, including Ok Hee Ku. The 61 ties the low round record held by HoJo as an amateur during the final round of the 2012 Suntory Ladies.
Kana Nagai
Sayaka Takahashi (-2)
Erika Hara and Minami Katsu, both Even
Rei Matsuda (MC) and Mr. Shimuzu
Ah Reum Hwang
Ji Hee Lee (-1)
It appears that Rie Tsuji (E) cut her hair ... she used to have a ridiculously long braid.
Tsubasa Kajitani (MC) ... they don't have rocky outcroppings at Augusts.

A great round, Mone Inami reminds me of Shiho Oyama, I don't understand why they could not play 54 holes? Sunset is at 7pm and the first round was complete by 3pm - they definitely could have played another 4hrs and made up time with an early second round finish the following day and then play the final round.

The first time that I checked Kotone Hori score, she was minus two. The next time after a bogey, double bogey, bogey she was plus two. But she clutched up and finished with four straight birdies. Good news from one of my favorites after Hee Jeong Lim lost her Match.

I agree, but maybe there were TV and sponsor pressures we don't know about. As a result of playing 36 hole, the women took a 25% haircut on the purse payout. Also, I don't know why they did a cut on Saturday, which was unfair if you had a bad bounce that dropped you to +1 with no opportunity to make up for it on Sunday ... they didn't do that in last week's 36-hole event.

I thought the Toyoto Yaris was a piece of crap ... have they improved?
Hikari Tanabe (E) with ex-pro Miki Saiki
Saku-chan finally fell behind Iname in the Mercedes Points and Scoring Average races ... still leads in Prize Money, barely.
Saiki Fujita (-3) eagled the par-5 6th
Sky Kim (+3)
Kotone Hori (+1) tries to sell the virtues of Bridgestone gear to Titleist user SW Bae (-1), who isn't buying it.
Megumi Kido (-1) has an idea for stopping Mone Iname
Without galleries, it gets boring for Miyuki Takeuchi (-1)
